I sit here and can't really comprehend what our nation has just gone through. I watched something happen live on TV that was bigger than Pearl Harbor....and right on scale with the nuclear attacks on Japan. I am still in disbelief.......... I remember as a kid where I was when Regan was shot... I remember where I was when Oklahoma was bombed..and I will never forget where I was when that second jet liner hit. Our country lost something on September 11, 2001. We have been a nation of innocent children for a long time. On September 11th, the boogeyman came and hurt us...he hurt us bad... He stole our friends, our loved ones ....he stole our fellow Americans.....but the thing he stole the most was our........... innocence. We have had to suddenly abandon our childhood innocence and really look to the boogeyman with hatred. We now have to realize that he is all around us..even within us. I have faith in the United States. I feel that she will come through this nightmare. I have faith in the Americans here.... we will come together instead of fighting with one another. We will find the boogeyman. We will make sure that he and his friends will never be able to hurt us again. Then, just maybe then, will our children able to feel the innocence that we have lost.

it was weird today walking around school. it was real quiet. i think everyone around here is pretty shocked at what happened. i think its bigger than i can really put into words. a lot of pissed off people. my dad was telling me that he heard about arabs in brooklyn and paterson nj were celebrating and he was fucking pissed. afghanistan has a big bullseye on it now.

I really really want the media to stop covering this nonstop. Its starting to make me feel downright sick, I want normal TV back so i don't have to be constantly thinking about this. I can't concentrate on my schoolwork, hmwk has been damn near impossible to complete. I just can't think strate, I fee worse right now then I did yesterday. Just have to have faith in GOd and that good will prevail over evil on all fronts

I don't want the media to stop. Because if they do..our nation tends to forget about things and sweep them under the rug. This is something that we can not ever forget about..we need to be reminded of this everday, until all is made right....

I hope people can calm down before we strike back at who ever is responsible, let us not forget EVER what has happened but we must have calmer heads when we go after who is responsible...I truly feel that the CIA, Special Forces are going to have a field day in finding info and how they are going to treat people who they capture for information or those who have ties with these people

Nice post fantom. Everyone should actually take a minute to read it and ponder over it all.

Of course our country should never forget Sept 11, 2001. I know I never will, and my children will know of it from my mouth. I too, wanted a short break from it last night, but I couldn't find much else on TV. Then I thought to myself, it's no where near time to move on. Many thousands, millions, of people are still mourning. They've lost loved ones, or they don't yet know where their loved ones are. There are thousands of patriots, caring humans, out there picking through the rubble of what were once proud symbols of our country...looking for their fellow countrymen & women. The healing process on this deplorable act, this tragedy, will take a long, long time.

Do not expect to hear the end for many months to come. Take a break if you need to, turn off the TV, walk among the earth that you can still enjoy. Take in all that you still have to be thankful for and the beauty that does still exist in our world..........but never forget.
