Hello everyone,
I just started training a week ago, I'm currently doing 50-1 hour of cardio, and i have started to eat balanced, i can't really post a diet since off the bat i don't really remember, but i have read a lot on the forums and tried to copy diets from other threads. What i really need is advice on how my diet should be regarding my condition, i really need to loose weight before i start doing lifts and reducing my BF. Also a friend of mine has advised to take some pills called Hot-Rox, i wonder if these are the best for my condition. Any kind of help in the right direction would be great help!

Thanks in advance.

EDIT1: I didn't post my age. :)

Ketogenic diet (CKD) - do a search on EF. No carb / high protein/ high fat

ECA stack - lipoflame rather than Hot Rox. PM Omega on here as he makes the stuff

Cardio first think in the morning on an empty stomach

I read up about the ketogenic diet, but i don't really like it, it's it really the best for my condition? Also i can't do the cardio when i wake up... I work in the mornings. Also the ECA stack seems to be a diet pill, do i wanna be taking that ?

For one thing Josue, I was the same weight as you are now when I started saying I need to loose weight. I started by getting a gym membership, and getting up early to go work out doing cardio on the bikes and treadmill. This lasted for a few weeks, the pounds dropped. I thought "hell this is easy", it isn't. The first few weeks is water loss and it goes quick (it did for me). But... the meal plan was not there; yes I started out great, staying away from fats, sugars, and the general junk food. But I started to "cheat" here and there. Before I knew it I lost all my motivation and really stopped going to the gym. I tired diet plans with no-carbs, good-carbs, etc.. They did not work. I tried looking for the magic diet pill that I could sit on my butt at my desk and it would "melt the fat" off me. There are a lot out there and they are expensive. They do not work. Eating right and staying active works.

I know this is only my 2nd post here on EF, but I have read and re-read a lot of information that is posted here. I now know how to eat healthy, what foods have what proteins, sugars, carbs, and so on, from the reading of this site. I also started to ride my bike to work everyday (29 miles round trip) and go to the gym for the weight training.

As cobracock1979 said, go for the Lipoflame over the hot-rox. Now I cannot say that the Hot-rox is bad, but I can say that I like the Lipoflame. I ordered Lipostack Ultra from AGX Sports and the service was awesome. This product really gets me going, for both the ride into work (useing Lipoflame) and when I'm at the gym (using Amp02). Like I said before, I have tried many different OTC supplements, and never had the results like I do with lipoflame, AMP02, and RawMCC. (But really never incorporated them with going to the gym either)

But whatever you do, make sure you eat right and go to the gym.

BTW, I started at 272lbs and now I'm down to 246. I'm trying to keep the mass and loose the fat.

I hope you find what you need here on this forum, I know I did.

i think its never a bad time to goto the gym regardless of what weight your at and where you wanna be.. get a solid routine down. go to the gym at a time that fits your schedule. try a diet for a week very strict and see how it goes and post on the boards what it was.

a diet doesnt have to be painful you will still get to eat meats you want. to keep the protein intake up. and at 272 you wont even have to be as strict with it as people trying to cut from 10% bf and under.

but for sure id cut all sodas/candy/junkfood/fast food out of your current diet. eat 4-6 solid meals a day with meats and veggies and you will be good to go.

That's exactly what i'm doing. :D

You convinced me, now wich one should i get, Lipoflame or LipoStack? Hence i'm not doing any weight lifting at the moment just cardio.

thanks for the quick replies guys, you've been a lot of help. :D

Also, what about alcohol i'm a social guy so i usually go out every weekend and have a drink or 2 is this safe for my diet and gym routine? What about whiskey, vodka, wine? that's pretty much what i drink.

why? lifting builds muscle, muscle burns fat. High intensity lifting also burns fat. Why would you go to the gym and just do cardio?

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have cut way back on my alcohol intake. The beer and pizza were really the thing I had trouble giving up. Once I got into a routine with exercise and eating right, I just didn't want a beer. Don't get me wrong I still have a few when I go fishing. (Sometimes even a few too many) Just remember that alcohol slows down your metabolism a lot. As far as taking Lipoflame and then drinking alcohol, I would not do it. If you have questions about the product, you could pm Omega.

And I do agree that lifting burns fat. I have lost more fat around my waist from lifting than carido.

if your truly only once or twice a week and not getting plastered but just being social it wont be horrible.. i think the key is to find the best way to have a successful diet while not feeling like your being tortured. and im sure certain drinks are better then others.. i think liquor > beer. but id defin get a gym membership and hit the weights. youll be alot better off like mwm5 said

i just wanna lose 25-30 pounds before i start to do lifting, i'm too fat for that atm, at least that's what i'm told. :[

Also i wonder, i heard that Red Wine it's actually Good for your health. is this true? Red wine would be the one that would really be hard for me to be left out... I don't care that much about vodka or whiskey and yeah, i only drink alcohol from fri-sun and not always but let's say that 3 out of 4 weekends a month i think some alcohol. How much should i cut down from that? And it's not like i get completely wasted just 2-4 glasses of wine, if i actually drink 1 day on the weekend i don't do it the other so technically, i only drink 1 or 2 days of the weekend.

Bro, not flaming but you need to be realistic - 25-30 pounds is a LOT of weight. Imagine 30 pounds of raw fat in front of you - I have enough trouble losing 5 pounds.

Its gonna require some seriouse dedication in terms of training, diet and time. Make up your mind to what level you wanna commit and take it from there.

Take a look at flexdaddy's progress pics (in the members pics forum) - he was in a similar position to you.

If you really wanna key in your diet as good as it can get bro's will help you out on here.

Basics again - lipoflame, calorie defecit (work out your BMR and take in at least 500/1000 cals less), high levels of protein to stop muscle waste, if you dont wanna do a keto I recommed High protein/ moderate fats (EFA fats like nuts, fish, fish oil, flax oil, olive oil)/ low carbs, make all your carbs low GI (ie oats, sweet potatoe, brown rice), no carbs after 4pm, you MUST do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach.

Hope this helps

Josh, the most important thing of all is the distribution of food daily, you need to eat 4-5 times per day to stabilize your metabolism and make it faster, you look for a diet that is convenient and you can carry easily.

Please take 3-4 liters of water daily and try to get good fat burners as the Hot-Rox, good luck with your 30 pounds.

thanks a lot for the help guys, i'll get into this ASAP, i belive i'll have to make a sacrifice and get up at 6 am in order to do my cardio :S
