Just finished watching Nova that I Tivo'd from last night. It was a biography of Dr. Percy Julian, an African American chemist born in 1899 and considered the father of "steroid chemistry".

It was extremely well done. Informative and interesting.

I have that tivoed.........didn't know he was black nor that he had anything to do with roids. That's pretty fucking impressive for a black man to have a doctorate in 1899. They were still slaves not 30-40 before.
