Noticably absent this weekend...

Its a tumah!
lol, sounds fun Red, what you got planned for next weekend?

Im sure youll be fine. Your going to love the EEG goop they put in your hair to hold the leads on.
Are you sure it was a grand mal seizure? I mean did you lose control of your bladder and bowels?

People when they just pass out go through a hurky jurky phase as they come back after syncope sometimes people mistake it for a seizure.
If the EEG doesnt turn up seizure activity going on also consult a cardiologist that specialiazes in electrical disturbances to make sure that isnt an issue as well.
Alot of physicians dont know what long QT syndrome is and miss it on EKGs and also intermittent rhythm disturbances they can put a holter monitor on you to watch your rhythm to see if it goes irregular.

As you probably know, you may never know what caused it and it wont happen again, but good opportunity to get yourself all checked out. Heart and brain both

True, I didn't lose control of bladder or bowel. So, I guess it wasn't grand mal. I was thinking abnormal rhythm as well, because my HR was through the roof as well as my blood pressure on the ambulance ride, and calmed down enroute to the hospital. As far as the flopping fish syndrome, I supposedly did that immediately after passing out. I didn't come to for about 10 minutes, after the fire department arrived. I plan on getting a cardio consult as well. I'll have the Neurologist refer me to reduce my co-pay.

hmmm, ten minutes, thats a grip of time. Did anyone administer first aid like check your breathing and heart rate?
The first thing to be concerned with is a ventricular arrythmia but out for ten minutes is a bit long seeing as you'd probably be dead right now if it was.

Perhaps it is a seizure, people pass out all the time but not for that long.

Had a slight accident Friday. I was pulling tires off my truck, stood up and felt dizzy. Dropped to one knee and the next thing I remember is Myrtle Grove firefighters standing over me. I was having Grand Mal seizures supposedly on my front lawn. Got a nice ambulance ride to Sacred Heart Emergency Room. CAT scan and EKG normal, pulse Oxygen and blood sugar a little low.

Have an outpatient appointment Monday with a Neurologist for an EEG. Really scary episode, not allowed to drive, no history of seizures. Heart rate was way up during the ambulance ride, but I'm not sure if that's because I was panicing or not.
damn i hope everything is ok man.
