Your comment serves no purpose at all. The point as to why it's a big deal has been made. No other board looks favorably at people using the PM system to market another board. You haven't been here that long say either way. How would you know it wasn't a bid deal before? You registered less than 2 months ago.

Unsolicited spam mail like that is annoying but the mod staff over at IT are all long standing, respected members of this site. I understand where EF Sam is coming from though since it took EF years to build the members it has and it's not fair for other boards to market its member base. In the real world a company could be sued for doing that and would most likely win in court since it's fairly easy to prove.

I have a few messages in my mail box asking ppl to check out there New Board. I havent even been active on the board in the past few months because of a serious back injury. So its not like they saw my name and desided to PM me.(this is the first wk i have posted)
Does this mean someone higher up is giving out or selling the member database?
Do you want the names of the ppl that sent me the PM's?

Yes, please PM me the names. And no, we are not and would never sell our database for people to PM you anything. What people are doing is just going through our email listings (in your profile) and or just sending random PMs, lots of people are getting them.
