i stop lifting for two months to heal my shoulder and it still bothers a little. i got a MRI and for reasons i dont wanna get into i couldnt really see my doctor for a while, but he was able to fax me his report on the MRI.. basically it said i had no tears and that most of my shoulder was unremarkable. It did say that i had mild tendenosis. so my ? is can i still work out if im willing to deal with the pain without further injuring my shoulder(tearing it)?

How about seeing a physio?

I have injured myself more times than I care to remember, but the one thing that has had me keep training without pain is having a great physio.

You may also want to consider a few supps if you aren't taking them already:

Essential fatty acids (fish oils)

Cissus quadralangarus is meant to help tendons

Collagen and/or gelatine

Glucosamine/Glucosamine Chondroitin

MSM

Also a mineral supp, as the collagenase enzymes that make and repair collagen (and tendons) use magnesium, copper and zinc as a co-factor.

If they are lacking, the enzymes are less efficient.

i agree--why not ask the doc that did the mri? there is no one in a better position to tell you than him/her.

i would go see the doctor, but i go to school 5 hours away where my insurance doesnt cover so its a pain in the ass to go back and fourth. thats y i had him fax me the results so i could ask you guys. next step is to take the report to my school health center so they can explain to me what everything in the report means because most of the words in the report i cant even read let alone understand. feel me

that would be best--every injury is unique and why risk it?

Absolutely! The best thing for you would be a physiotherapist. My left shoulder had the same issue and I'm 100% now.
