Nose Rings...

I wanna get my nose pierced...do you have to wear a ring in it first till it heals? How long does it take to heal? I just want a small stud...like a diamond or something...What do ya think?
 
Some girls can make it look good. I think they just shoot the stud right into the nose like they would pierce the ear.
 
i've seen a few girls it looked good on, and a few others that i wanted to do them the favor and remove it for them. one girl i thought it looked really good on accidentily ripped it out. i begged her to put it back in, i even offered to take her to get it done again once it healed, but she declined.

then she cut her hair......

some women have no clue.

They use a gun like with your ears so you have to wear a starter stud first month or so then you can switch. I have tiny little dimond stud I love it and get tons of compiments on it. :qt:
 
depends on your style, friends' style, and definitely your age.
 
I find nose rings funny. A East Indian friend of mine had one back in high school before it became the rage and got laughed at because of it. Now because a few "stars" wear it, its now the hot ticket item. Funny. I'm waiting for the leather catsuit to get back into fashion so I can see it on a corner near me.

Knowing my luck, it will probably be on some old granny and I'll have to poke my eyes out.

Anyway, since every other douchebag chimed in, I will as well. If a chick is hot, it doesn't matter if she has a piercing in her nose. She's still hot. And if she's ugly, a nose piercing isn't going to help jack shit.
 
When I see a nose piercing, my first thought is always "...but what about the boogers?" I mean isn't it hard to blow you nose with that in there?

I got mine done to celebrate my divorce. It is a tiny stud - took FOREVER to heal (like my navel pierce - my *cough* other pierce healed quickly and easily). They shoot it in like SuperQT said. By far it is the most painful pierce that I have had to date. Not the piercing itself, but once they put the jewelry in it THROBBED! LOL

I am nearly 37 but look like I am in my mid to late 20's. I am THE ONLY SOCCER MOM I KNOW that has one - LOL! And my kids think it is great.

I have a job where I am the most visible person in an Easter European software company. I was a bit apprehensive about wearing it on the interview, but I figured I inted to wear it always, so why should I do something different on the interview? NO ONE EVEN NOTICES.... meaning, it is an enhancement and does not scream, "LOOK AT ME!!"

In Europe I was shocked at how common and fashionable it is for women of ALL ages to have nosestuds. I am talking women old enough to be MY mother! LOL If you are a classy lady then it will only enhance your look.

As for the type of jewelry - the screw-in type is a pain. Opt for the type that is straight with a tiny ball at the end. You push it in and the ball keeps it in place.

I always had the "booger question" myself heheheheehehe and like SuperQT said, unless you have a really bad cold (where you would be miserable regardless), it is no thang.

I LOVE MY NOSEPEIRCE!!!!

I had a bad experience with the navel ring now I have a scare from my body pushing it out of me. I wonder if there is a surgery to fix it either that or I was thinking of getting it re done with gold as I found out I am allergic to surgical steal.
 
I want to see someone with a nose piercing with a chain going from there to their penis or clit. I have seen just about everything but I have not seen that before.

I had mine redone 3 times!!! (of course, the first time I had to take it out due to pregnant belly LOL)

The problem with mine is that I did not have a true "innie" and the idiot who pierced it didn't tell me that the jewelry would eventually be pushed out by the pressure from my navel that pops just a bit depending on how lean I am. I should have had it done BELOW my navel as my sister did. She had 3 children and NEVER had a problem.

I too now have this icky scar above my gorgeous navel.... but then again, I have stretchmarks and scars from other surgeries... I would get a tatt to hide it, but I am wierded about having a tatt that everyone can see.

I'll have to think about it. :(
 
Thanks everyone for your response...I think I am gonna do it! Just a tiny diamond stud - no krazy rings in my nose thanks!!LoL That would be gross! I don't think it would be acceptable where I work either!
 
My girlfriend met me out one night and showed up with a stud in her nose. She and her roommate had gotten it done a couple of hours prior to that. She knew from the look on my face what I thought of it. No offense to those who have one, it's just not my cup of tea. Fortunately it only lasted a day.

Thats what Im talkin about. If my girlfriend pulled that crap I wouldnt just give her a "look", I would kick that shit to the curb.

I second that. :) Some people can carry them off easily (Alyssa Milano comes to mind) but I still don't think they are "hot" - for either sex.

I had my belly pierced, but took it out last year. I got it done WAY before all the tennyboppers were doing it. I got tired of it, and was just tired of body piercings. Not a fan of metal in the body (besides ears) anymore. :)
 
What about scars...when I get to be too old that I look like a Cougar with a nose ring? I figure when I'm 60+ I probably won't look good with a nose ring anymore. When I take it out will it scar noticably?

Titanium would be an option.
 
I've seen a couple girls that looked good with nose piercings.



But for the most part, I don't care for the look. If you can pull it off, good for you.
