I like that philosophy taken by th rest of the world... Do nothing, let America bend over backwards by bailing out countries, forgiving debts, helping some to defensd themselves, eliminating threats to world piece, getting the rerst of the world out of jams (WWII), etc.. and then bitch because everthing isnt perfect, and blame it on us intruding.

At the commencement of Desert Storm, we forgave all debts of Arab or Muslim nations in the Middle East. Recently we forgave approx $300 million in debt to Pakistan.

pakistan is a DAMN unstable givernment....its still ruled by a military dictator who overthrew the elected government, who in the past supported the taliban, who's borders still harbour taliban, who;s government probably has the odd nutjob in there and is currently in a stalemate with india, who can;t seem to decide what to do about kashmir, only that it should put 1milloon men on its border.

Pakistan - we forgave their debt to enlist their support of our operations in Afghanistan. The US, for better or worse, uses its welath and economic leverage like a blunt instrument to get things done on the world stage. You know that.

I've lived in South Korea for more than a few years...South Koreans, despite owing their freedom to the USA (North korea has a much bigger army and lots more equipment), whose soldiers died for them in the Korean War and liberated them from the Japs in WW2, are thankless...they wont admit to owing the usa one damn bit of thanks. instead...because of an ACCIDENT where a US armoured vehicle ran over two teenage girls (what are amoured vehicles and pedestrians doing using the same road anyway? whose fault is that?), are crying foul and in some cases attacking anyone who is white as long as there are 10 of them and one white guy. These are people who think it is ok to slaughter dogs for food in the following manner: they take a stick and beat the dog to death, as they think it makes the meat more tender. I am not kidding. And I have fournd that they find that acceptable. Cruel bastards, I have no respect for them or their backward, racist culture. Wanna beat up your girlfriend in public- mgo to korea. No one there will care. Seen it happen. I intervened, and nobody else would. Just walked on by. Why does America and Canada let them immigrate? They wont allow a foreigner to become korean. South Korea has accepted ONE refugee- despite the thousands that arrive there.

North korea has sent hit squads to the south, blown up a passenger plane, blown up a handful of south korean govt ministers at a meeting in thailand, sells missle technology to unstable regimes, and is the most sickening dictatorship in a long time. The people are outright lied to- I am talking history is not so much portrayed differently, as a completely different version is taught to the north's people. I'd make it clear to the north: build nukes, and The US vaporizes Pyongyang with a hydrogen bomb (a nice 15 megatonner would obliterate everything within city limits and beyond) and a handful of other cities.
Because those weapons WILL be sold abroad and used against the US.

Awesome post. I, as a Korean-American, can wholeheartedly agree with many of your observations, VG.

Koreans seem to have very little regard for human life. Hospitals there will not treat you unless you can prove you can pay for the services. Also, I don't understand why they are bitching so much about the two girls when the same thing happens many times a day there. Cars have priority over pedestrians in the streets, and Korea has some of the most reckless drivers.

This also gives me a chance to bitch about my Korean roommate, who is the most worthless waste of oxygen I've ever met in my life. He moved to the US about ten years ago (he is eighteen) and still has the English skills of a fifth-grader, on his account of only having Korean friends, speaking as little English possible, and generally being a racist fuck. In my experience, this is quite typical; many Koreans are very close-minded people.

Manny78.... The UN put the cameras in, not us. Those countries dont need cameras in their nuke facilities becasue we know they have nukes. N. Korea isnt allowed to have them (cause they are fucked up), and the camera is there to make sure they dont make nuke material. Get it? They disabled the cameras, so what does that tell you?
