they have a failing economy and need help. its there way of asking for help by making threats. this is different that Iraq as theya re starting shit like shutting off camara's on nukes and threatning us. China won't do shit we have to much trade its all about he dollar. If things ever got real bad guess who ahs the most weapons of mass destruction? yes it may not matter as we would all be dead but so would they and they know it. its a ploy for money

The United States believes North Korea already has as many as three nuclear warheads in addition to the plutonium that could be used to make two more.

The same article said that NK would lay "merciless punishment" upon us. That type of shit pisses me off. However, it makes me wonder. What do they have the capability of doing to us? As Americans we just think "oh, if they have three nukes, we have 3 dozen. If they can launch there's 3,000 miles, we can launch ours around the globe." Well, how much of that is true? With GW at the helm it seems we may be in for many more wars over the next few years. Do we really have the means to win them all? I think so, but I'm not too educated on our military.

The North Korean response should be expected. North Korea is a sovereign nation and should not have to answer to pompous statments and ridicule of intruding countries. The North Korean response was warrented, considering the seriousness of our threats against them.

Our current foreign policy is intrusive and hypocritical. The Bush administration is pushing forward a war agenda that will surely leave us spread to thinly across many fronts. We should concentrate on those threats who pose a current and more immediate threat.

How can we call upon foreign soveriegn nations to disarm and disist from nuclear projects of any kind, when we violate all existing nuclear treaties?

NK makes brash decesions that affect not just the U.S. but everyone else in the world. China is not doing anything to help feed the NK people and doing nothing else other then to give moral support. Give NK a Nuke and see how long it takes them to invade the south

I applaud the fact that this country is finally attempting to quiet the problem children of the world.

Americans have been too nice and bleeding heart for too long. We must install enough fear in the world through force because that is the only language these backward nations understand.

We could have avoided the whole Cold War, Korean, Vietnam, if we just listen to the practical minds of Patton and McAuther.

yes....but have we stirred the pot? before they were named an 'axis' member, they were gonna send diplomats over to saouth korea and things between the nationed had calmed down. i didnt hear much after that, only that the sent a bunch of US ambassadors back over. were they named an axis memebr because they were doing this stuff covertly or did they only start after....its something i wondered
