Noobie HCG question:

I know I should know the answer to this, but I want to get everyone's response who has used HCG.

A doctor buddy of mine gave me a 10,000 iu kit today with needles, syringes etc. He instructed me after mixing the solution to inject 1 cc into the abdomen area everyday for 10 days straight. I could have swore I have heard others run it e0d for 10 days straight, some at 500 ius eod or ed.

And btw, is this painful? Sounds painful! He told me on the first shot, to put 1/2 cc in 2 different areas to see how I react to it, and then after that, 1cc ed.

BTW, I am starting week 9 of 250 eq (e7d), masteron 100 e3d, test prop 100 e7d. I'm running the test prop real light because this is a cutting cycle and I bloat up big-time on test and break out real bad. I started my cycle out with tbol 40mg ed, and eq at 500 for the last 8 weeks and I'm tapering off for a 12 weeker with eq - that's why only 250 right now. My little guys are about half the size - so my last and final question is when should I start HCG therapy, 17 days after last shot of eq OR at the time of last shot?

I have heard and read that HCG is not primarily used for PCT (due to propensity to increase E evn more), so I would hit it at the time of the last shot to gets your boys READY for you PCT regimen. I usually run HCG mid cycle and right near the end and I run 5000iu's at 1000ius EOD. NO the injections do not hurt at all, just use a slin pin and pinch some abdominal fat and slide it in, really no pain at all.

There are 2 schools of thought floating around this board (Actually 3 if you include those who don't like HCG at all)

Some use it Mid cycle or around week 10 if they cycle is longer that 10 weeks, and some use during PCT. Jenetic's protocol called for HCG during PCT, and that is what I do.

A few things - First - Inject the HCG IM - not Sub-Q.
Second - Use 1000 iu's M-W-F for 3 weeks

I run the following PCT - Start next week after last injection (Even Long Ester)

Week 1-5 (5 week PCT)
Nolva 20mg ED

Week 1-3 HCG 1000 iu's M-W-F

Week 1-3 Clomid 50mg ED

Week 1-5 Arimidex .5mg ED

The HCG IM vs Sub-Q debate has been around forever, some HCG brands say IM on the packaging and some say Sub-Q, just go with what your packaging says and if your doctor friend says sub-q why would you want another IM injection to deal with???

right on guys, thanks for the input. I took a look at the powder bottle itself and it said for Sub q or IM . Im just seems painless to me. I inject my delts all the time = pain free for me. Stomach just seems painful, but I'll give it a shot anyhow. He gave me a bag full of those slin pins (about 1/2 inch long on the needle part, super small). I thought 1000 ius ed was a bit much, but I could try m-w-f for 3 weeks, and I usually run nolva during my pct , but I have been thinking about trying clomid instead. Thanks for the input guys

When I did my HCG mid cycle sticks, I did them on my quad sub q and while the stick stung like any shot would, it wasn't bad, no soreness or bruising or antyhing. I did 500 IU's EOD 5 times for a total of 2500 IU's and my boys got nice and "plump" again. I will be doing the same thing but 10 times the last 2 weeks of my cycle to prepare for PCT. You might want to ask your Dr buddy but I was told by a few vets on here that the stomach is not a required place, and that quad sticks are ok as well. I just used some 1.5" 23 gauge darts but slin pins would be even better.

I'm wondering if more than 500IU at a time can damage the lh gland? Thats what I heard from a local endocrinologist.

considering that my dr buddy is in hrt, i don't think he would recommend 1000 ius daily if it damaged the gland. In fact, he actually said 1000ius is actually pretty light considering some run it at 5k ..
