noob questions

have a few questions that someone might be able to answer...i have put forth an effort to workout the last 2 years well the first year…i decided to get out and parting and working out and parting don't really mix for me...but none the less here is my questions...i have been doing personal training for the last year and the person who helped me do this was mr great britian of a few years back...i have read so many conflicting things to what he has told me and i would like to find away that i could at least know what i am talking about. i have a friend that i trained for 3 days as that was all she could afford...i didn't really get into a diet plan with her...but she has now gotten one and the person who has her doing this has also gave her workout directions...basically it follows a low rep/high weight theory...but it's done in sets of 6 sets of 4 reps...this person also in his workout does 8 sets of 3 reps and his exercises seem to not focus on one muscle like i have been doing...this is what I have been doing is major(chest) 4 exercises with 4 sets ranging from 10 going down to 4 at times then doing minor (bi’s) with 3 exercises with 4 sets usually staying at 10 reps all the way through…I figure either way works but which way is better. I am also training someone now and have her doing 3 exercises with 3 sets and having doing 16-16-20 with a decent weight I help her on the last set…any info would be appreciated…

one last question…
I am also considering doing winny for the first time ever with any steroid and would like to maximize my results the best way I can without over training…as of right now I am 5’8” weighing 196 and about 18% last I checked…

also just found this section and will be reading things up on it

you have to get out from under that bodybuilding template. expand your views and your repertoire. not everyone needs 3rep sets, then again not everyone can handle or needs 4 sets of 4 different exercises for "chest". learn to train the body as a system, not a bodypart at a time, or at least understand it as one. thats the first thing. bb'ers are notorious for not doing that.

well i am trying just about 90% of what i haev read says the way i have been doing it..can you give me an example of training my body as a system?
