Have any of you tried Nitric Oxide? I went to Healthkick last night to pick up a couple things and the guy there (he's the one we always talk to) was telling me it's a great supplement for women? Of course, I'm not going to buy it just because he says it's a great product, but he hasn't been misleading in the past.

Any input on this?

Apart from the placebo effect you won't get anything from NO2 supps

Totally worthless (and that's an understatement)

Stick to basic (creatine, protein, fish oil) or switch to the dark side but don't waste your $ on overhyped products which only positive effects are on the manufacturers annual reports

Thanks for the quick response. I'll stick to my staples!:)

I COULD be wrong, but I think SuperQT tried this stuff?!?!?!? I can't remember now (I am getting pregnant brain) I SWEAR someone here talked about it. Maybe I'll do a search.

Also, isn't this the stuff car people put in their cars to make them go faster?!?!?! WTF?

(I am lmao @ myself right now)

LOL....that's what I was thinking too!!!!

I used to take NO2... It's the arginine in it that gives you pumps while you work-out...
Shadow mentioned to me at one time that you can buy arginine by itself at a much cheaper price then the No2. I noticed I could get in a few more reps even sets when I took that stuff. It made me red and flushed while I worked out but I felt like I could take on a lot more weight.... It was great for strength increases. I knew a few guys who also took it and said they felt the same way.

This is from the website:
"NO2 has created a revolutionary new category of muscle-builders and muscle-enhancers known as “cell-signaling hemodilators”.

Through mediation of the “signaling-molecule” nitric oxide (NO), NO2 induces powerful hemodilation and creates dramatic increases in muscle size, strength, endurance, power output, and load capacity.

With its advanced sustained-release technology pHyser3, NO2 generates a virtual permanent muscle pump, now known as the “perpetual pump.”

NO2 was created by the same man who introduced Creatine to the market in 1993 - Ed Byrd, co-founder of EAS(tm) and now president of MRI(tm) (Medical Research Institute).

How does MRI NO2 Hemodilator Work?

NO2 creates - and sustains - levels of nitric oxide in the skeletal muscles. Nitric oxide is the muscle's "cell-signaling" molecule responsible for blood flow (hemodilation), oxygen delivery, glucose uptake, muscle velocity, power output, and muscle growth. By creating and then "sustaining" levels of nitric oxide in the skeletal muscles NO2 delivers sustained muscle-enhancing benefits around the clock. Like amplifying muscle-growth signals for faster gains in lean mass, accelerating both fast and slow twitch muscle fiber for greater strength, providing complete "full-body muscle recovery," and increasing endurance index.

In addition, NO2's sustained hemodilation (continuous and amplified blood-surge to the skeletal muscles) generates a perpetual pump.

NOTE: Before the introduction of NO2, hemodilation occurred only during intense exercise, and lasted for a relatively brief time. Now, with NO2's extended-release delivery system pHyser3, it is possible for hemodilation to last all day long. That means greater results and faster gains for you. And, of course, a "Perpetual Pump."

NO2 Hermodilator

Generates a Perpetual Pumps

Amplifies Growth Signals

Accelerate Fast Twitch Strength

Huge gains in lean mass

Faster recovery and increased strength gains

Increases Endurance Index

To maximize results, drink at least 64 ounces of water daily while using NO2.

It DOES work......

Proof being?

There is zero science behind NO2 products....

I've been using it and yes I feel pumped which helps me on strength during workouts. I have been able to lift higher weights and recovery is faster.
Of course, as someone said to me, results are nothing as AAs, however I would tell you how it is working for me.
My trainer told me to take more antioxidants while on the NO2, therefore increase my vit C and vit E consumption.

PLENTY of emperical proof.

Have you at least tried it?

No?

Remember, until 10 years ago, the overwhelming thought process was that gear only "helped" you 10%.

I know a lot(20 or so) folks that swear by the increased pumps and increased vascularity.
