Perhaps the most mis educated thing in bodybuilding is the idea of nutrition and supplements in my opinion.( apart from first cyclers suggesting to take 400 deca 500 sust and 40 mg dbol). Most bodybuilders will agree that people the likes of arnold, franco, sergio all had top quality physiques that had great shape and looked real dense. Yet all three bodybuilders never had all the supplements we have today, they didnt have eas, or prolab or metrx etc...infact sergio probably never had protien shakes...thay just ate, and ate some more...the most important thing about nutrition is not supplements, it is quality eating, which means 6 meals a day of good food, fish, like beef, chicken, rice, pasta, quality breads. Then maybe add in 1 shake directly after workout. As far as nutrition is concerned you cant substitute real food...we are humans (living beings) protien shakes never grew on trees or roamed the fields did they? id prefere to eat a nice sized beef steak with some rice or pasta, brocolli and tomato sauce, along with 1 litre of cold water or juice cordial, than a shake that makes me feel bloated and makes me fart for hours after. In terms of making quality gains and building a good foundation there is no substitute for good food, training intensely and sleeping at least 8 hours a day. Then maybe after 3 years of training one might use aas. Beginers please consider thism dont get wrapped in by the supplement market's advertising campaigns and bye every shake or creatine there is, try them but dont base your protien and carb intake on them because IMO you wont get as far as you would on a base of solid food...train hard, thanx.
