No range of motion after quad injection

I'm having issues with self administered quad injections in that for a couple days after the pin I have almost no range of motion at my knee.

Site of injection is about one hand length down from hip joint about midway between the top and side of the quad. Now this isn't a new site I've been pinning my quads for a while now but I still seem to have an issue.

Any suggestions? Also it's not an infection, this I know. It feels similar to getting hit by a baseball in the leg and then having it be sore for a few days after.

Pain from quad injections can migrate down - thats definitely happened to me before. It has never affected my range of motion though. If it persists you might wnat to get that checked out

It takes a few days to go away but it always does, it's just annoying. I would guess my leg is knotting up or something I'm just unsure of why it's doing it, what part of my pinning I'm doing incorrectly that would make it do this.

When I pin I'm about an inch or so above where you are and I have had no problems. Also try heating your test up with hot water or a blow drier then message it for a couple min. Idk if you do already but I get no pain with my sust injects with thoughs steps.

I massage but don't heat it up. I'll try going higher but I figured lower would be better as that is the bigger part of my leg.

Try avoiding quad injections if they're painful for you. Go for glute, shoulder, and ventrogluteal. Shoulder is the easiest to hit.

My first injection ever I pumped 1cc of Sustanon into my left quad before bed. Woke up and was effectively HOPPING around on my right leg. Let's say the gulf coast was missing one marine biologist that day. Lesson learned? ***Work out and/or stretch the muscle you're injecting to.*** for example, I do once weekly shots of 2cc Sust. If I go 1cc in each shoulder on Monday, it's shoulder day. I then arrange my weekly workout split accordingly. If I go into the glutes the next Monday, it's leg day, and my split is arranged accordingly.

Also, invest in a rolling pin. They cost <$4 and help minimize PIP - post injection pain. Hope this helped.

The guy above made a good point about inject days of the muscle you work. I never inject my quads at night before bed. I always do it in the morning before work so the muscle is being used all day instead of frozen while asleep. I usually also make Monday's my leg days because I don't like injecting into sore muscles. Warming up your test works wonders on reducing PIP

Just ask me WTF happened to me about 3 weeks ago!!

I pinned my quad, I pinned in 2 different spots on the same leg on the quad. I pinned too much oil on one spot and a small amount on the other pin. Well, to cut to the chase, I either pinned into a lymph node, a vein that possibly leaked blood into the patella(knee) or possible that the oils ran down and collected in the depot holding area of the knee. I was down and out with EXTREME pain after a couple of days later, felt like a bruise times 100!! I would of rather broken my arm then to have suffered what the MRI revealed as Myositis, an infection of the muscle due to the above mentioned. I am just NOW beginning to run again, a slight tightness after all these last two weeks of stretching. So, I will NEVER pin my quads again.
Good Luck..
