so, im one of those guys who tends to talk alot in the gym. i hate it when people talk alot at the gym. then before i know it, im talkin. i still train hard and get good workouts though. so whats the best way to stay focused and ignore all the other bullshitters?

keep your ipod on at all times
no eye contact
focus
smile and move on to what you were doing
 
thanks guys. ive always had a workout partner till recently so i didnt notice. we would bs the whole time but still lift like hell. well now im on my own so its kinda hard not having my bro around. usually its people comming up to me to talk, so it looks like im gonna have to be dick and tell them ill get at them later. well not a dick but you know what i mean.
 
I have a big set of DJ headphones. They look a bit silly, but noone bothers me. Hell, half the time I don't even have music on.

I also look like I'm in a bad mood most of the time, so that works too.

Thats exactly what I do. Been going to my gym for 5 years now and I know no one by name, just how I like it.

I used to talk to people at my old gym, 1min turns into 10, before you know it you have to warm up again. Good way to turn a 45min workout into 2 hours.
 
also look mean and serious like you dont want to be bothered, they usually wont
 
damn I have the same problem, especially now its holidays here and I have no time limit. My workouts usually go for 1 and a half hours. Latley its been 2 hours and 2 minutes because of all my gas bagging
 
im usually a loner and very seldom did anyone talk to me, but now I have a workout partner. we chat it up but still keep focused.
 
keep your iPod blazing angry music to get pumped.
and be the biggest motherfucker in the gym so everyone else won't wana bother you

thats what i did, i built a home gym, now i can finally smile again!!
