Nike Free Trainers

they will be nice and comforatble, and grippy on the floor, so yeah, they will be good for squatting and deadlifting, but so are most other nikes

I use the Nike Free Running shoe for training. It is similar to the one in your link but it is much lighter in weight. They are great for everything.

For squats and deadlifts go with chuck taylors. The key is the flat sole. You want to drive through with your heels and not rock forward. I'm not sure about the nike's you posted. Its hard to tell from the pictures.

The chuck investment has really helped my form. I had no idea how much typical training shoes encouraged rocking forward.

I do my deads and squats barefoot. Everyone in the gym stares at me like I'm crazy.

I'm too cheap to go buy a Chuck Taylors, plus I don't want to have to carry them around, or wear them when I'm doing the rest of my work out. So I just slip my shoes off whenever I need to.

I happen to like the look of those Nike's and also have heard good things about them, I would still take them off for squats though.

I have had a pair of the Free 5.0 for well over a year. They seem to be very durable for Nike standards. I have trained, ran sprints, and pulled the sled on asphalt with no problems. I don't like them for squats or deadlifts though. They put my center of gravity to far forward. I actually pull and squat barefoot as of late.
