Your exactly right,, People should start holding sponsors and team owners accountable for thugs.. You cant tell me that a comprehensive background on this thug wouldnt have revealed this... I bet if society held Nike partly responsible and started boycotting shoes .,. you would see a 360 turn around in the industry

Great in theory....but unfortunately, even a full backgorund check keyed on his SSN would not have revealed anything as he had no record. Investigations keyed on his friends would not have revealed anything, neither would questioning his father(looking for a payday).

But yeah society has a choice to boycott, although I wouldn't put too much faith in our general population seeing as how they're rabid sports fans and all. You're right though; Nike and other companies should step up their screening process, but again this would probably cost too much money....
