Now, you're in luck, because Freddie is just about to make the sun shine in your life of couture once again. First of all, you're right: the Big & Tall store is revolting. But many brands today have options for those tall and big guys that we all oh admire so much. Ralph Lauren is one, and the line is called just that: Big and Tall. And I believe you can still get a few pieces with very good discount if you hurry to polo.com. Also, Tommy Hilfiger has a line for tall man.
Freddie is a believer that a man does not need too many clothes, but you have to have the basics in order to look elegant: one pair of black dress pants (not chinos, please), one pair of beige pants (once again, not chinos), one pair of pin stripe pants, gray or navy, one pair of modern jeans (distressed, not one flat color from waist to toes), dress shirts in black, white, blue, grey, one pin stripe suit, a few sweaters, black shoes, black belts, polo shirts. And you should be set for life. And did I mention no pleats on the pants, ever? By the way, did I mention no pleats? (see the point?)
