You got it.......Im so excited about toews and kane....these two kids are going to be phenominal...if havlat can stay healthy and some consistent goaltending the blackhawks can return to the days of chelios, larmer, roenick, belfore, amonte.

I havent enjoyed hockey in a while since the hawks have sucked for so long, but now there is a light
It's been way too long for Chicago. Poor or rather stingy management by old Mr. Wirtz.
There's reason to be excited.
Best sweater in hockey.

Cool. Hurricane's a Philly fan too. This should be fun.

Have fun at Game 1 Hitman.

I wanna go to Colorado.

What drama at that game. Kovalev was fantastic tonight, and seeing a hardworking grinder like Tom Kostopolous get the OT winner was great.

well, Dallas made it to the second round. W/O Zubov, I'm afraid that this will be the end of the line. The youngsters are doing well that they brought in, but it takes experience, specifically playoff experience. But maybe, who knows...

And Zubov is BACK! Dallas up 2-0 on Sharks and should go on to next round.

Theodore is now 0-13 in second round.

Habs got robbed by Biron and Flyers in game 2. Funny how things balance out like that. The intensity is back and should make for a great game 3 in Philly tonight.

^^ WOW, I wouldn't have guessed it, 2-0 going back to Dallas. Sad, I haven't seen even one puck drop in the series....yet. It comes on FSN-SW tomrrow.

You've missed a good series. Dallas has been playing great.

flyers, 2 - 1. looking good.

They were badly outplayed, yet again, but Carey Price handed them a second win by shitting the bed. I hope that goddamned sieve is on the bench where he belongs to start game 4...Halak deserves a chance.

martin biron played great and they capitalized on all of their opportunities. the devils won 3 cups with solid net minding and opportunistic forwards. if not for the 5 minute power play the game would have more than likely been a shut out. the flyers are a very deep team that produces strong scoring chances. im really getting annoyed at how all the analysts and many fans are so dismissive of the team when they have a ton of scoring forwards and a solid netminder. their defense is speculative but back checking forwards make up for that and they all cover their man in the offensive zone.

Have to agree. First overall this season but I thought they would crash because of old goalies that are past their prime. Osgood is getting the job done and as a team they are solid.

Goaltending has been the difference in the series so far. Philly gets some soft goals and hangs on.
Price is a 20 year old kid. I don't know what's going on in his head but he's really been fighting the puck. Have faith. It's only 2-1, others have to step up too. I'd put him back in Wednesday but Halak can play too.

Good organization.
Great scouting allows them to find great players in late rounds of draft.

Ya gotta love "the mule" as Stevie Y dubbed him. Another great 3rd round find.

Dallas pulls it out in OT I see, series 3-0, they have a chance to close them out tonight. I'll finally get to see it, hope it's not even close. I like blow-outs, not so nerve wracking.... lol

Tonight is do or die for the Habs. I need to wear my lucky bra
Out of 20 bets, I lost 4, so let's hope my bet tonight on the habs is a winner

You should come back for Formula 1 this summer.

It was a great time.

Big F1 fan, how is the course for viewing. I watch it on tv.

There's nothing like being there to get a feel for the performance of these cars that doesn't translate on tv. I've sat just past the paddock after start/finish line so it was great to see the deceleration into and acceleration out of the corner. It's not like Nascar where you can see the whole track but many large screens that keep you plugged into all that's going on. Ya gotta do it atleast once. The week is an incredible party in the city.

sounds like a blast. I leave for the beaches of South Carolina on May 17th for a week, the race is like soon thereafter, I will probably have to try for next year.

But you never know! enjoy.

Enjoy the beach but if you make it to Mtl be sure to let us know. It'd be good to meet you.

yea, they are tight this year. anything can happen but that is a talented team.

i had respect for the penguins till their last performance. malkin skating around tripping people at the end because they were losing. fucking fag. hopefully the flyers will play them and they can get beat up quite a bit before the finals. i dont think the flyers can beat them but that is a possibility. as for detroit, im not holding my breath.

Detroit, finally looks like the favourite as it should have been.

Penguins are young but so talented. I don't think Flyers or Habs (yes, I still believe) will beat them.

im definately not counting out the habs yet. they are a good team. goalie issues at the wrong time.

here comes the conference finals for philly. i still cant believe it.

habs are a good team but price is not the future for that team. what the fuck does he do with his glove? he uses it like a fucking racket. good series. not feeling too good about the penguins.

Congrats to the Flyers. They seemed to get all the breaks but they wanted it more and deserve to move on.
Pennsylvania final for the east.

what a game, I tried to stay up for it but fell asleep just before 2, didn't see the winning shot. You'll have to watch alot of hockey to see better netminding, outstanding on both ends, Nabakov was spectacular, Turco was just one shot better.
Detroit will be better than anyone the Stars have played thus far, so, I don't look for them to move on, but as the towels say, "BELIEVE"....

Wow. Four overtime periods! I couldn't stay up.
Happy for the Stars. They deserved to win too. Treated it like a game 7. Good series. Much better than Mtl/Philly.
Should be a good final but can't see anyone beating the Wings.

^^ yep, ur correct. The hot goalie wins and Osgood seems to be on fire from what I hear, I don't see any of the games...

did you see the hit Morrow put on Mahalic? Who did Stevens hit that time a few years ago? reminded me of that a little, Stevens was better though, but not by much...

both finals series will be good.

detroit is gonna have to be physical with dallas or else they are in for a long series. dallas looks real good. great game last night.

ive been watching the penguins, i think the flyers are gonna hit them 10 times harder then the senators and rangers. fucking malkin better be ready to get rocked alittle, cheap shitbag. as for crosby, he is nowhere near ovechkin. ovechkin is a beast and the flyers played him hard but his ability to hit hard and often elevated him above the flyers. crosby is a pussy fag, hes gonna get hit something fierce and his pretty little finess game is gonna get bumped around alittle.

good luck to all.

Osgood will have to be consistent. Turco is playing phenomenal.

Morrow is Carbonneau's son-in-law and is the gritty type player the Canadiens lack.
Stevens on Lindros maybe? He had so many highlight hits.

I think Pittsburgh will bury their chances and they can play a more physical game. They need good goaltending but the Flyers won't get by them. It should be another short series for Penguins.

yall, saw the way the refs let them play, ol' school, reminded me of the way hockey is supposed to be played. I may even have even reined them in a little tighter, but they just didn't want to be in the deciding factor of who won. The Sharks got the first shot on the PP, really a tickytacky call imo after all that was beng let go, Dallas killed it and it was prison rules for 2 more periods. Imo, they gave SJ a shot at winning, they owed Dallas a shot too, when they did, they cashed in...

When Dallas plays with a sense of urgency, they're as good as any, when the sit back, they're just average...

Scary thing, we have Zubi, but when Daily is considered a veteran defenceman, you KNOW you have a young defence....

same thing was said for the canadians. anyone can play the senators and rangers physical. pittsburgh is going to have to play hard. this isnt going short.

Tell me about those Canadiens. I think Philly's luck will run out. Not saying they didn't deserve to beat habs, they did.
Pittsburgh is a better team than Habs and Flyers.

Dallas at Detroit tonight. That should be a good series.

hey, how do you know if you can watch a game on the computer, steaming video or whatever. It shows no games for Fox sports at all in the Dallas/ Detroit series...
isn't there some way to watch it on-line?
HELP!!

i still think the physical game will change things. habs were a sweet finess team and the physical game made a difference. i think the habs could beat shittsburgh too.

well, Dallas didn't have much for Red Wings, all I saw was highlights, but the outcome was predictable. I hope the games are good games, and the better team wins out in the end. I always want to see the cup with the 2 best teams, whether my favorite is in it or not.
My personal oppinion is that Dallas has won up to their ability, can't ask for more than that. They eliminated last years champs and then upset SJ, nothing to be ashamed of there. And they're still playing, so who knows, but I think the Detroit will be in the finals...

Ridiculous that you can't get the game where you are.
Dallas came out strong and controlled the game through first 10 mins. Tough penalty calls to put them down 5 on 3. Wings scored and took momentum from there. Dallas has a lot character and not done yet.

They are just so solid. I thought goaltending could be their achilles heel but Osgood does the job when he's needed.

Detroit-Pittsburgh should be in Finals.
Tough break for Philly losing Timonen.

I have cable, Versus isn't on it, neither is TSC. My dad who lives 5 minutes away has Versus, so I could go over and watch it there, but my problem is getting baseball practice in, homework of my son, dinner, etc all out of the way to have the time to get there.... :-)

I'm hating ESPN about now..... cheap sumbitches. can you imagine letting someone outbid you for the NHL. just pisses me off....

Business decision. Fact is, NHL needs them more than ESPN needs NHL.
NHL just doesn't draw in the States and NHL doesn't help their cause by not making sure local fans can see their team in playoffs at a bare minimum.

They have the right mix of youth, veterans, superstars, and an average guy playing out of his mind right now (Franzen)....all the ingredients you need to make a run to the finals.

flyers looked lost without timmonen. im not one for excuses so if they lose, which it looked ugly as hell tonight, they lose on their own terms - by giving up the neutral zone turn overs like a bunch of fucking morons. sucks timmonen got benched on a fucking blood clot.

penguins are a good team but not that good. at least detroit will be waiting for them. flyers couldnt beat them anyway which sucks too but at least it wont be a repeat of the sweep we experienced last time we played detroit.

looks like Dallas is out gunned, out manned, and out hustled. I am still proud of them, they played up to the level that they could, did well. Detroit is the better team, they should be the winner.
the cup needs to be between the two best teams, not decided by refs or luck...
I'm satisfied...
I'm a Red Wing fan for the rest if the season...

Stars have had a great playoff and surpassed expectations, knocking off Stanley cup champions and then San Jose who, on paper should be going to finals with all their talent. I like the Stars, they show a lot of heart. Still don't like Ribeiro though.
Gotta like Wings. Didn't even notice Franzen not being there.

Eastern and Western finals game 5 this weekend are afternoon games carried on NBC.
Good for Americans who don't have versus (Txbondsman) but Canucks watch hockey at night.
RedWings-Stars 1:30 Saturday
Pitt-Philly 3:30 Sunday

Too nice of a day here yesterday to stay in and watch the game. I hate hockey day games.
Looks like bookies missed a good opportunity yesterday with Dallas forcing a game 6.
Another chance today with Pittsburg-Philadelphia at 3:30 in the east.

Timtim, Looks like Timonen and Coburn will be back for this game. Should be interesting. Should rain this afternoon so I won't miss this one.

hoping its not too late. they played real good game 4 even without their top 2 defensemen. win or lose im happy with the season. i think the flyers have disrupted malkin and crosby alittle. both seemed distracted in game 4.

They really messed up by not putting Dallas away sooner. They have to end it game 6, because anything can happen in a game 7...it's a coin flip at that point.

World Hockey Campionship gold medal game Canada-Russia.
Russia just tied to make it 4-4 with under 5 mins to go.

Sucks but we had to kill the penalty. Better than losing a gold medal game in a shootout.

worst thing that can happen to the Wings is a long drawn out game, Dallas got into that 6 OT and it took them weeks to get back physically. The Wings seem to be the better team, IF Dallas does happen to win tonoght, anything is possible.

I'd LOVE to see Dallas win in one way, that's my team, but the cup needs to have the two best teams, I don't think that Dallas is better than the Wings.

I can't wait to see somebody staple Crosby to the dashers, Dallas OR Wings.... :-)

Don't hold your breath on that one...Crosby is too aware of everything going on around him to really get run badly. And even when he does get hit, he absorbs it well; the guy is incredibly strong on his skates, kind of like Forsberg was before all the ankle problems.

LMAO, key Drake, Maltby and Samuelson...

or Ott and Morrow, but probably the former.

Oh you don't have to hold your breath, he'll see "Stars", one way or the other.....
