The only real problem with hockey is all the canucks involved.

Did you watch the game? Damn ot is going to wear out both teams every game. Good games, but the Avs looked tired in OT. No rest, next game tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get tickets.

I changed channel with 5 mins to go and Wings up 3-1. Came back to see Nashville pot empty netter.
Playoff hockey...any team can beat any other team on any given night. Comes down to who wants it more.

Pleasant surprise to see Dallas taking care of Anaheim. Caught most of first game and Ducks played stupid hockey and happy to see Stars take advantage.

everyone was sucking the caps nuts cause of the way they ended the season. they only made it into the playoffs because they ended the season playing the florida panthers and all the other cellar dwellers.
 
Theodore was phenomenal against Wild last night.
Looks like his Hart trophy year form. Seems to have his shit back together. At least until his next big, longterm contract.

He is seriously playing on his head every game. I think tis is the real Jose though and it won't stop.

He has earned a contract the last 3rd of the year and most definitely in the playoffs.

I've been to one devils game back in '91 when I was hangin' with my old childhood chums

I believe Nashville has really embraced hockey
they certainly should because at worst they'll only be down 3-2 sunday

You're probably right there. They had a great year but played over their heads and people got overly optimistic when they won the East.

Another year or two. Both Boston and Montreal are young and should be legit contenders.

You have to give Boston full credit for where they are in this series.
Nobody gave them a chance at first.
They've been better prepared, worked harder and just wanted it more which means success over talent. Especially in hockey.

i disagree alittle. the canadians letting up 4 goals in back to back 3rd periods is telling me they are sitting back and over confident. i would not be shocked if the momentum the bruins have built off of the canadians lack of intensity rolls right over the canadians tonight. would be ashame for the canadians. great regular season and impressive opening 4 games of the playoffs. but hata off to the bruins, never quit!
 
The Habs have a pattern of being over confident. They always come out swinging, then lay back to let the other team win. This has been a pattern of theirs for over 10 years now.

Though I want the Habs to win, the Bruins deserve it way more.

I interpret their laying back and playing the friggin trap as fear.
Intimidated by Boston, not willing to take the hits and playing not to lose.
Their game has been speed and scoring all year and now they're playing to Bruins strength. Julien helped do this to Boston when he coached Canadiens and they came back from 3 games to 1.
Full marks to Boston.

B's lost their Mojo, but played tough. Powerplay sucked - but they are young.

Good series. Both teams are young and getting better. You had to admire Boston's work and determination.

Small group of idiots ruin it for those who enjoyed the game and happy celebration. Black eye on our great city. Shameful.

gonna be a nice series with the canadians. 2 good teams who worked their asses off to get to the 2nd round. should be great. good luck to all the canadian fans. im glad to have ovechkin behind us. guy really picked it up in games 5 through 7.

NO SHIT! I don't, and it doesn't have Fox Sports listing ANY of them for the Stars and Sharks. What's up with that?
 
That really sucks. Blame Bettman for taking the extra cash from Versus as opposed to a contract with ESPN.
How can you grow the game, especially in "non-hockey" markets when they don't even have access to see it? ESPN barely shows highlights during reg. season as it's not in their interest to promote the game.

Versus payed more? that sucks for the exact reason that you wrote. Granted, many do have Versus on their cable, but ESPN is what the masses will have. As hockey grows exponentially, especially in the south by teams moving here, that's where the growth will and is taking place. Dallas alone has 25 sheets of ice and growing daily. Tx as a whole has sheets springing up everywhere, and the one sheet places are adding another, etc. You can't get ice time, maybe at 5:00 am or 10:00 pm, if your lucky...

I get the games on VS, ALT and OLN sometimes. Oln carries major juniors too at times.

That's exactly what I mean. Expanding the league to non-traditional markets that don't have coverage is senseless.

Mountainmuscle can probably provide more info about who has the games further south. I have a friend in Fla that has same problem as you.
Up here I get coverage of all games and most on two networks in English and French. French beats English coverage for habs games.

Tx, my buddy in Austin watches on VS. I'll ask him what other channels he gets them. I think he has the nhl package though, as well.

The hockey coverage in the USA sucks ass if you ask me.

My Dad here has Versus, I just like watching it in MY bed. Fox Sports Southwest is where I usually see it, but they're not listing FSN on the Stars website as having them. Only the Sports channel and Versus...
 
I havent read many of the replies to this thread but i love hockey....and even though my team who hasnt been in the playoffs in 9 years finally looks like next year they will be in there. Who do you think is my team..........k to the winner

You got it.......Im so excited about toews and kane....these two kids are going to be phenominal...if havlat can stay healthy and some consistent goaltending the blackhawks can return to the days of chelios, larmer, roenick, belfore, amonte.

I havent enjoyed hockey in a while since the hawks have sucked for so long, but now there is a light
