Nfl Quarterbacks

Ahhhhh . . . this is why they play the games.

Aaron Brooks - gets the chance to prove himself this year with Williams, McAllister, Horn, Cleeland, and Connell in the line up. He should do fine.

Jeff Garcia - Can be a good QB in this league based on his ability to overachieve and his athleticism. He is also decent at reading the defense. He needs someone else besides Owens to throw to.

Charlie Batch - Simple . . . a bust.

Trent Green - Will have a bad year again . . . no talent around him except for Tony Gonzalez.

Steve McNair - Until they open up the offensive scheme instead of being conservative and actually have help at WR position will never get to prove him himself. There was a reason he was called "Air-McNair" at Alcorn Sate.

Peyton Manning - Has the complete package. Born and raised into football and will become one of the all time greats by the end of his career. It's a good thing I kept his rookie card.

Most underrated QB's--Brain Greise, Jeff Garcia, A Brooks. In terms of fantasy ball, ie. putting up HUGE numbers, all of these guys are studs.

Horrible QB's--Bledsoe(lets throw 15tds this season, along with 32 picks)////////Mcnair--he sucks//////////Batch/Kitna/ect.

Mcnabb--Thrash and Mitchell should boost is numbers, emphases on "should"

Overrated once again---(Brett Favre---he WILL get hurt early in the season, and refuse to sit down and let anyone else play, he does it every year, plays at 75% and its ugly)

Keep in mind that almost all great quarterbacks are surrounded by great players.
Dan Marino- Duper and Clayton
Dan Fouts- Joiner and Winslow
Joe Montana- Rice, Craig, Clark
The modern day quarterbacks are no different.
Do you think Kurt Warner would have had a great season in 1999 without Marshall Faulk. I could cite examples all day, but the bottom line is you must have a supporting cast, which filters all the way down to even specials teams play, field positioning etc.
All that being said, Kordella SUCKS

I also agree with this guy!!

F$%k Peyton Manning! If that d!ck comes out a year early, the Jets would have been set for 10-15 years at QB. I am glad he didn't win the Heisman or the national title. That being said, he is great but he still hasn't led his team to a victory in a playoff game.

With my team down with 2 mins left, I still go with Favre.

BTW I think Vick is the most physically gifted QB since problably Elway.

McNabb is overrated. The NFL is great to give him 16 chances to prove it, so even diehards like MB will be convinced.....he won't play any "extra" games this year.

K Collins - a tad above average...but if he can just follow the defense into the playoffs, they'll do OK. Ron Daybe looks to be in great shape (for him) and Tiki looks good to.

P Manning - the best dropback passer in the league. The prototype NFL QB. The best in the league.

McNair - The Titans dominated the Ravens last year until they let Al Del Greco play. McNair does need some help at WR, but as long as he can keep handing to Eddie George, these guys are my AFC Super Bowl picks.

K Warner - certainly he benefits from the track team he plays with, but his arena days helped sharpen his timing....Green could not put up those numbers, and the Rams were 5-0 until Warner got hurt. If his timing is back, they will be playing basketball on grass.

Favre - he;s still clutch, but he's held together by duct tape.

Vinny Testaverde - will celebrate his 50th birthday with an 8-8 season. Hang it up Vinny....let Pennington show what a bum he is.

Culpepper - will never recover from 41-0 loss. Game will have similar psychological effect on him as missing 4 free throw in the NBA finals did to Nick Anderson in 1995....relegating him to medicortiy forever.

My thoughts on QBs

I agree that Vick is a lot like Elway, so Reeves should know how to work him into the offense at Atlanta

My yardstick for great QBs used to be Superbowl rings, until Trent Dilfer...

A couple of years ago everyone was saying that Jake Plummer was the second coming of Joe Montana. NOT

Kordell Stewart will never take the Steelers to the SB. Cowers should have brought one of the Pennsylvania boys home to finish thier career there (Marino or Jim Kelly)

I look for San Diego to have success with Drew Brees

Where did Ryan Leaf end up? He is a dummy but he may come around eventually.

Steve McNair will continue to be successful because he is so tough and can get a first down at any time, plus the arm

Flutie is Finished

Drew Bledsoe's best years are behind him

Tampa Bay + Decent QB = Super Bowl Champion

Like all have said: Peyton Manning was genetically designed and bred to win a Superbowl. But then again, so was Todd Marinovich...
