Newbie Advice Wanted

Hi Guys,

new to the forum. have searched for a definitive answer to my question but couldnt find one, hence the new thread.

So, i am 31 years old, 190lbs with about 16-18% BF. i have been training for a couple of years now and after much research and courage plucking, have started my first cycle. i am 2 weeks into 250mg of sustanon and 200mg of deca every 5 days. i am planning on a 10 week cycle followed 2-3 weeks later with a clomid and nolvadex PCT routine

My two questions are this. Realistically am i going to see much gain from this as my first cycle and if so, at what point should it start to "kick in" i have heard / read some say almost immediately, others 4 weeks + into the cycle??

Should i be looking to maybe up the dosage to perhaps the same doses but 2 x a week?

At present i am experiencing no side effects....touch wood.

All thoughts appreciated

that is plenty. assuming that you are training ( and not overtraining, a common mistake made by beginners and vets alike) and eating properly, you will grow. if anything, you could drop the dekka and save it for next time.

Welcome mate ,

You should see gain of that doses just train and eat hard coz its a bulking cycle .

With that combo you might see in the mirror some bloat at about 3 weeks .

Thanks for the responses guys. I am currently training 2 days on and 1 off. Splitting body parts each session to chest and tri's; back and bi's and shoulders and legs.

Am doing 30 mins of light cardio every morning to help keep the fat off.

Eating wise, generally sticking too ( well trying my best too!) Breakfast: oatmeal, scrambled egg whites. mid morning: protein shake. Luch: grilled chicken breasts, brown rice and loads of salad. Afternoon snack: 2 bananas nd a protein shake. Dinner: more chicken breasts or steak, brown rice or jacket potatoes, more salad.

I have worked out i am having around 4000 cals a day.

So you think i should keep the doses as they are and wait for it to kick in. i know that on the whole, people that i have met who have taken a similiar cycle havent really seen any noticeable gains until between weeks 4 and 6 at least? Is this the norm??

Once again, thanks for taking the time to read and give constructive advice / criticism

any gains before that are mostly water anyway--i would even suggest just run the tes.t for your first cycle---and i would guess that every bro one here has made great gains on 250/week

bro, bodybuilding is a marathon not a sprint. that is why the parking lot at the gym is packed during january and near the end of February, parking spaces are easy to find. be patient.

your food and training look good. stick to reasonable doses of a.a.s. and you will grow. creating muscle tissue is a slow and arduous process. using anabolics can speed things up. water bloat and blood volume will prob give you the illusion of gains around week 4.

My thought is to drop the deka. You should do fine from the test alone and have an easier time recovering from just that one compound with the pct you have lined up. Im not a fan of deka, had a helluva time recovering from that.
 
Again, guys, thanks for all the helpful info. If i drop the deca, do you think it is worth upping the sus then?

Completely understand the sprint mentality!! For me this has now become more of a lifestyle change completely. Before i used to do a hell of a lot of cardio and never really bothered with weights. I have to admit that i am a complete lifting addict now and it was only after reading some of the articles on here that i "forced" to not overtrain.

I look forward to reading and utilising more of your feedback.

bro if ya want some bitchin results you need to eat more protein, 2grams of protein per pound of body weight. stay away from junk food its just going to make you fat then your going to have to cut. eat big lift big get big!!! sleep i hope your getting 8 hrs of sleep naps are great too.
