So what are all you bums doing on new yrs eve?

I can't really do anything, so let me live through you guys/gals. Tell me something exciting!

Will you be playing the homemade guitar? I used to make guitars with kleenex boxes and elastic bands.
 
No plans right now, I'm hoping the g/f just wants to have a quiet evening in with some good food, wine and fantastic sex. Maybe getting together with another couple.
 
Join thousands of others this New Year’s Eve at Nathan Phillips Square. Citytv presents this free, annual outdoor concert and New Year’s Eve event, with Canada’s top Canadian musical talent and midnight fireworks.

This year’s festivities will be hosted by City TV’s Gord Martineau, Kevin Frankish, Dina Pugliese and Kathryn Humphreys, and feature performances by Plain White T’s, Roz Bell, jDIGGZ and the cast of We Will Rock You. A pre-show will start at 8 p.m. with bands Grand:PM, Sky Sweetnam, Samba Squad, Carried Away and The Midway State.

The pre-show starts at 8 p.m. and the official party kicks off at 11 p.m.

Same as each year. Hope that the wife and kids will stay up late enough to wish in the New Year. Put each of them to bed before 10:30pm. Realize how lucky I am for another year.
 
Probably just wacking off. Pretty hard to get anyone to come over on New Years, because some sucker is blowing a shitload of money on that particular night.

Just moved into my new place and having a NY's party/move in party. Hopefully the weather will be good, 75 three days ago and 50 today:(
 
I so rarely go to New Yrs eve parties, but last yr my best friend had one and one of our 40 yr old trashy friends drank too much and threw up all over my friends 4000$ persian rug. I ended up scooping up the puke with an old can.
This yr I'm glad I'm doing anything ;-)
 
Not sure exactly, but doing something with the g/f, friends party maybe, chilling at her place, going out somewhere? we'll see.

I kind of wish I had gone out on new years eve back when I was single, I never did that before. It sounds like a blast for a single guy.

She's pretty nice. I met her online, talked to her online for about a month, we finally got a chance to hangout at the end of October. We clicked pretty well. By the 4th date we kissed, and at that point we basically started exclusively dating. We've been taking it pretty slow both mentally and physically, but I get the vibe that she likes me way more than I am into her which kinda makes things odd. I don't see myself being with her forever (not sure why, just a feeling), but am cool with dating her right now. But if she keeps on showing more interest I think I'm going to have to tell her what I'm thinking. That won't be pleasant.
 
Well I was going to work just like I worked over christmas and get an extra 400 in my pocket..

buuuuuut this smoking hot girl with the most kickass cool as shit personality got all excited and gave me a call about some big gala tomorrow night or something.. she is going to be one of the gogo dancers gogo dancing on an ice sculptur.. sooo I've somehow managed to swing new years off and I'm going to party like a rockstar with ash and "share" a hotel room with her when the night is ovaaaah.

Heading out to my drummer's cabin with the g/f. Gonna set off some fireworks at midnight and play some strip poker- minus the stripping.
 
Maybe go to a party, I dunno. I don't feel like drinking and this group of people always gets so loaded.

See, my options are to go out to a club, spend a shitload to see people I really don't want to see, be all fake friends with everyone, and watch them do extacy. Yay.

Or I could go to this house party and be around people I like, they all just get really drunk. The owner of the house is weird but cool. He's flaming geigh, pagan, and has a crush on me. The night usually ends up with everyone loaded, communicating using only movie quotes, and playing poker.
 
Yep. It's like a skipping record of Caddyshack, Ghostbusters, and Spies Like Us quotes for hours leaving teh wimmens wondering how they landed such idiots.
 
Was supposed to go to the mountains but the interstate is closed so that's not going to happen. Now will probably stay home. Don't feel like going to any bars/clubs tonight.
Lots of people will probably bring in the new year in the slammer, random DUI checkpoints all over the city tonight. I'd rather watch it on TV.

Another couple and us are going to a comedy/theatre show in downtown Dallas. GOM has volunteered to be the designated driver (since the driver he used to use is not available). When we are done "being out and stupid" we will continue the forey (sp?) here at the homestead and most likely wake in a pool of our own vomit some time late tomorrow afternoon.

... j/k about the vomit part. We are all of us waaaaaaaaay too old for that shit. So I am thinkin maybe hottub and wine?

Speaking of which, the old man is all alone in our room snoring like he misses me.

2008 will be GUH-REAT.... the end of 7 years bad luck and only good things. :)
