New Tricep PR!

On close grip bench, started out with just a plate for warmup, then shot up to 185 and i found it a breeze, then did two sets of 205, and i think to myself, "why am i doing this?" .... wham! i put on two plates, and i did 225x4!! Easily a new PR... Now my close grip bench is stronger than my regular bench where i can only hit 225x2. LoL :D
 
My close grip now matches my regular bench. And yeah, it is weird. My regular bench has slipped while I've focused on DBs over the last few months. Plus I do CGs first when I'm fresh, and I do regular bench after a grueling set of DBs so the comparison is less than equal, but still kinda odd.

then you chest must be weak as fuck..im sorry...
 
I can't get up in bench because i have a bad shoulder.

Don't assume anything before you know the facts, asshole.
 
yeah... if it weren't for the powerlifting style of BP... I couldn't even do the weight I do now... I'm still right around 315 for a couple reps... I'm having trouble passing that threshhold.. hopefull with Careo..

Good job on the Close Grip dude... 225 is pretty good, that's around what I use on it, I never really go up any higher ... I don't know why... maybe I will now??? :)

Ladies, no need to be calling each other names, but certainly, there is No Need to be calling anyone's chest "weak as fuck." How is that gonna help anyone??

Congrats on the PR...maybe you should try to bring your BP grip in to make use of your tricep strength...

Wiz kid, you can work your chest in another excercise were it is less strainful to your shoulders. Good job on the pr. IF your chest lags and your shoulder aren't the greatest I would recommend incline flyes using a slow but controled cadence....

Nope...a closer grip (to a point) means a deeper ROM also...:)
