yesterday i spotted a guy doing 520 on squats for reps and made it look easy.
:)

never spotted that much before :lmao:

When doing sqats last week I saw a guy walk up the squat rack with 3 plates per side. He looked to be a sizeable guy and able to do that weight. He walked up to it, layed the bar on his back, stepped back from the rack, then stepped up to it and re-racked the weight. He did it 8 times. I'm not sure what that was working though.

maybe wt bearing isometrics at a standing angle.

Well, in any case his legs didn't come close to matching the remainder of his physique. From the waist up he was jacked. From the waist down he was basically Madonna.

When I go real heavy<for me> in squats I'll do practice walkouts with an overloaded bar in the squat rack with the pins 5" below shoulder level. I do this every squat workout maybe a month prior to a PR. It helps me get used to walking out with the heavy weight, which isn't so easy if you're not used to it.

Maybe that's what he was doing? I would think at that level one would be using far more then 315 for this however.
