It's disgusting how they're using Americans' own money (well, technically it's our kids money -- they've already blown through ours) against their own constituents.

But we'd probably disagree on the remedy.

The only way Americans can reign-in the government is to reduce its ability to spend. Money makes this entire scam work.

On some things I'd say you have a point but this NSA stuff isn't exactly what's breaking our bank. I mean you simply can't pull enough money out of the system to prevent what is being done relatively on the cheap. It's not about giving them too much money imo, it's too much unchecked power with no oversight.
 
It isn't about saving money, it's about sending a message.

If Congress had cut the NSA's budget by 85% within 30 days of the snowden leaks (which is what is driving its admissions now), it would have sent a message to all of government.
 
I'm starting to think Snowden did the right thing. What the NSA has been doing is horrible.
 
You're just now realizing the guy did the right thing? Yeah, he broke some laws, but holy shit they were basically in place to give Big Gov free fucking reign over your dirty texts to your assistant...

If he's a criminal, at least he's an honest criminal, despite his worthless existence leading up to the scandal...

please tell me your not seriously insinuating that impeaching Obama would have even the slightest effect on these people, are you? I would think by now most intelligent people in this country have come to the conclusion that the POTUS is a figurehead. His powers are superficial. The NSA started this shit decades ago and will continue to do so for decades more.

Unless I read that wrong in which case I apologize.

Then I should continue my current activities, because the last thing I would want to do ever is have appeal to an undereducated domestic violence convict with multiple DUIs.
