New moderator?????

Aigh guys I know we have two mods on this board that are active Heavywear and spatts now. I've been thinking that it would be a good idea to have someone that is used to posting on here all the time and become a moderator. The reason I say this is b/c it's always a good idea to have someone that knows the game or is a coach or has been around for a while. So if any of you agree with me on this then I believe to make this board a little better we should vote someone in for a mod.

Whose with me on this one?????
 
I might be mistaken but isn't the role of a moderator to delete profane/libellous posts and/or threads mainly. Don't see the need for that here.
 
I don't have any mod power on this board...just the women's forum. I think it's easy to see who knows his/her stuff and who doesn't, without having to be deemed a "mod." I don't do anything differently than I did before, they just changed the title next to my name. Sure I can edit/delete, etc...but the only reason I'm more suited to moderate than someone more knowledgeable (like MS or W6) is because I can be here off and on 24/7.

It would be nice if everyone strived to be informative and helpful irrespective of title. The best way to become a mod is to act like one.

This does not exactly seem to be a board in need of more moderation than it already has. People here generally get along well and play by the rules, which is a very good thing.
 
OKKKK All of you make good points why we don't need one, BUUTT what about when we need a mod to post a pic on here or someone email him a pic.

NOT KISSING ASS so don't give it too me. Honestly B fold I was thinkin of voting either you or Arioch or PLjay. Someone that's been around for a while and knows there shit. WAIT one more BRAIN you too. But since no one seems to care....

You don't have to be a mod to post pics, you have to be a Platinum Member...as a mod, if I wasn't plat I STILL wouldn't be able to post pics. Saving you $12 a month is a poor reason to create mods. I agree with Arioch. This board is very objective and professional...no need for moderation. :)
 
I do understand your point and agree with it. We have a ton of mods for this board and we only see one or two of them ever post. What kind of guidance are we getting?

I would like to see a moderator on this board who makes a good contribution to the text as well as helping to serve the members...not just hold the title of moderator.

If you are just dying to post a pic, you could ask me and I would probably do it.

Also, note that many mods do not seem to post all that much. I wonder what happens when their status changes?
 
I've seen this too Arioch...people become mods and then fall off. My post count, however, is still a solid 19 a day. :)
 
So...do we need a better Mod structure? Maybe cut it down to 3-5 mods that are here constantly?

I personally would have trouble taking a mod without any sort of presence seriously. It is the whole leadership by example thing.

And Spatts, I always wondered what hyper little kids did to fill their time when they grew up. Now I know.
 
This is about the only website I visit, so it's not hard to make it here often. I give myself about 15 mins every couple hours to pop in and make sure no one is wreaking havoc, see what I can learn, and make a post or two. When you consider I get up at 4am to eat (and check Elite), go back to bed and get up to train at 6:30 (and check Elite), etc...until I go to bed at around 10 or so...well that's alot of time. So I'm not really sitting here all day. As you mentioned, I'm FAR too hyper for that. :)
 
Is your two year old showing signs of hyperactivity yet? Or is it just the normal entropy given human form sort of thing?

Ah...lucky for me, I remember my semester on thermodynamics.

I would say that his dQ is not always in direct proportion to his T. :)

I have been told that I'm more mentally hyper than physically hyper. Have trouble shutting the head off. I would say my son's the same way. At two, they're all like that.

How old is yours?
 
Nothing in children is ever in proportion to anything else.

Mine turns 18 next month. I never really felt old before. BTW, since this is the PL forum, he has a 425 squat, 325 bench, and 475 dead. No equipment except a belt.

NO WAY!! I was beginning to think that "bathtub beach" was a figment of my childhood imagination. Spent EVERY summer there, and thought for sure that my parents just called it that for fun, and no one had ever heard of it but me. I lived in Port St. Lucie in the summers.
 
I actually do live 30 minutes away from bathtub beach it's a pretty cool place but I stil prefer stuart beach (where the hunnies at in tha thong thong thong thong). Heavywear whenever u decide to come down PM me and we'll meet up and lift or somethin.

Spatts same goes for u when u come down this summer i'ma be liftin at the martin memorial wellness center there are 5 locations one is in PT ST lucie so I'll go up there for a few workouts to lift with ya.


Damn hopefully everyone is gonna be comin down my way soon. :D

There are very few rednecks in the city. It's a very "east coast" city. The people talk fast, move fast, are more abbraisive, and are generally pretty cutting edge. Kansas City isn't hickville either, but it's more laid back. BBQ, Jazz, and long walks on the Plaza. Everyobody's your friend in KC.

Just wanted to let you know that George was kind enough to give me mod power on the PL board. This board doesn't need much moderating, but now and then something comes up and there's rarely a mod around.

If you need anything, I'm always happy to help.
