New Member--Need help with health issues

I think I should have posted this message in this forum rather than the steroids forum. So, here it goes--

I need your help in figuring out a way to correct a major health problem. Long story short, I took an antibiotic (levaquin) 4.5 years ago and it damaged tendons all over my body. I was very athletic prior to the drug reaction--skiing, tennis, weights, running, etc, etc. My tendons have never recovered. I can no longer be active, coach my kids ball teams, etc.

My hormones went crazy when the drug reaction first occurred. Very high cortisol, low T, high thyroid, etc. They settled down after a while but my T levels have fluctuated wildly (from almost 800 to 300) over the last 3 years. I felt best when levels were high and worst when they were low. My levels of T are now low normal and below normal IGF1 levels. I believe that T supplementation and HGH supplementation might help. Have any of you seen injuries heal better while on either of these supplements?

I am going to the doc next week and want to ask him for HGH and a testosterone gel. Any advice?

I am not looking to get big at the gym--I just want my life back and I want to be a good dad to my kids again.

Thanks

Your desires to regain your health and be a good Dad are understandable and admireable.

I am not sure what "damage" your tendons underwent. Damage is usually a tear in the tissue, a pulling away at the connections and/or some deterioration of the tissue. I am also not sure if the damage was localized or all over.

As for your hormones ... This is key to your overall health improvement and the news for you is very good. Additional testo and HGH does improve the overall cell rejuvenation and associated healing process.

Couple some supplemental HRT with light exercise and diet and other supplements, and you should expect to see significant improvement.

Let's just begin with HRT ... hormone replacement therapy. I think of this as "supplemental", not replacement. Your body is producing some amounts of these hormones and you want to add more. You do not want to shut down your output and replace it.

HRT testo normally comes in a topical compound with a strength of 100 mg. You can substitute injected testo ... usually prop ... 125 mg p/w.

HGH is the partner. You can select from various brands with various dosages. Normaly HRT dosages are low ... 15 iu p/m. I do 1.25 iu MWF.

Due to your medical condition, your health insurance may pay for some or all the treatment. Mine does except for the HGH. I buy Saizen brand from my Doc.

I hope your blood testing is looking at all comprehensive levels and hormones. You need to see red/white blood cell count ... thyroid ... cholesterol ... liver ...esto ...PSA...the works! Application of supplemental hormones will effect all these indicators and you need to watch them 4 times a year.

Diet should be aimed at a balance for optimal health. No need to go extreme until you are healed up. I'd recommend grilled lean animal flesh, whole eggs, milk, hard cheese, fresh fruits, veggies, whole grain products, decafs and water.

I'd add a multi-vit, flax oil, some old fashion liver tabs, whey, creatine and Garden of Life Super Green into the mix. 5 light meals a day.

Exercise ... Not sure what you can do. I trained another guy once who was very limited. We found he could do a full workout with very light weights using a very good home gym. He could do all the basics and gained strength, size and confidence over the weeks and months. Chest, shoulders, torso, back, arms and legs ... he hit the entie body over 2 days, rested and repeated.

He rode a staionary bike because he couldn't walk far. But he could hang onto that bike and ride. This activity helped the healing as it pumped the blood through his system and raised his metabolism.

I'm hoping you have a Doc that understands what you want to accomplish. Mine is an anti-aging Doc. His experiences with promoting health and longevity seem to have provided him with a lot of knowledge and respect for HRT, diet and exercise.

Keep us up to date as you recover.
