New Inzer EHDPD

Bald Gorilla

New member
Just wore my new Inzer EHDPD (or whatever it's called) Blast. Good fit, but it makes my shoulders SCREAM for mercy. Is that normal? They feel like they are full of lactic acid while I have the shirt on....

I have a meet in a week so I just wanted to try it out and break it in if possible. It is a little meet here in Baghdad (Camp Liberty) so I don't mind fooling around a little with my training.

315 felt great, but couldn't touch
405 felt great, pinching my armpits, had to pull to touch
455 really pinching my arm pits, about 1" from chest felt like I had to roll it down a little to touch. I'm not sure I touched to be honest.

That's as far as I went. I like the shirt. Probably just need to break it in a little.

I am going to cut the back on my other Inzer and fool around with that a little. When I wear an open back shirt, does the shirt go around the back of my shoulders, or just on my arms?

If you are using a single ply shirt and you have a pretty good arch I would suggest either titan f6 or an Inzer rage-x. You will get a good carry over once you master the shirt. I am getting @130-150lbs out of a single ply titan f6.

Well, truthfully, my arch sucks. Right now I am more of a traditional bencher. I'm having trouble sticking my gut out and getting a good arch. So... I'll have to wait until I leave Iraq to buy another shirt. I've already bought 3 and a deadlift suit. My wife is going to killl me. Still have to buy that H2 when I get home...

I cut the back out of my other Inzer. wow. What a difference. how do I "jack it up"? Or does that mean something different. I put it on my arms and pulled the front way down and cinched it with my belt and it felt great.

I estimate I'm getting about 50lbs carry over with either of the blast shirts.

if you dont arch, and your just starting out, try a titan fury or inzer rage. master either one of those and go from there

I actually bought a Rage, but the arms won't even go over my forearms. I got a 50 for my chest size, like the instructions say.

My buddy is about 220lbs (40 lbs less than me) and we squeezed it on him with some effort...

I may try to sell it and get a larger size.

You can stretch the sleeves on these shirts so you can get them on. When I was slightly smaller it took 2 people to get my 50 rageX on and I weighed 196lbs. Once you start hitting some heavy weights in these shirts they will stretch slightly. I have a big chest and moderate size arms. I am now down to 210 and I wear a single ply 48 titan f6. At first pretty much as you described I couldn't get the sleeves past my forearms. With some stretching I could get it on and use it. Then I stretched it some more and really wrecked the shirt until I gained weight and size and the shirt sleeves are tight once again.

You can stretch the sleeves by placing the sleeve in warm water, use a football deflat the football and pump up to desired size. Repeat in the sleeve where necessary. I will be doing this to my 2 ply rageX soon.

Jacking the shirt up. Your description is right. Pull the back of the shirt up, crank the collar down. The problem with splitting the HD blast is the collar will split in two. The collar on this particular shirt is not strong. I had done this for a teenage lifter. After a few uses the collar split down the shirt in the front.

Well, I weigh 260 and have pretty big arms, and there ain't no way in hell that Rage size 50 is going on me. Is the sizing chart accurate on the Inzer site? The other shirts go by shoulder size, but the Rage says chest size. I would believe that the size 60 would fit me better.

Once I get home I'll contine to try and stretch the sleeves, but man they are small.

I like the way the Blast feels with no back. I need to take a day to compare that with my other Blast to see which one I like better. It was comfortable with the collar down on my chest.

I don't have anyone over here to ask, so forgive my questions...

A 50 will most likely not fit you the sleeves of a stock shirt is for some person that has maybe 14-15 inch arms. I had 18inch arms, l stated somewhere else I let my biceps atrophy so I could get into this shirt.

You should be able to fit into a size 54 and it should be tight the sleeves will be hard to get on as well. I believe all the stock shirts have arms that are too small. I just bought a 54 rage X because I can't get my 50 on. I have a 50 inch chest and roughly 17-18 inch arms @ 56-57 inch around the shoulders.

From the irongladiators site Brent Mikesell suggest going 4 inch larger then your chest for a rage x. Since you are new to shirt benching it would be a good idea to use a loose shirt get comfortable with it then start wearing a really tight shirt.

What you could do is order a custom shirt with a 50 inch chest and larger sleeves.

Took both shirts to the gym today and did some comparing.

I tried the cheap blast with the back cut up to 405 and it felt great. It flew up with no pain.

Put the EHD Blast on with 405 and it hurt (alot) and seemed to give less support that the open back.

Well, I guess I'll end up cutting the back of the new Blast. Maybe that will help.

Is it normal to hear ripping sounds as you bring the weight down?

With my experience with my titan shirt I would say yes it does have a small run in the sleeve now but that hasn't changed in a while.

how long have you had the shirt? inzer is pretty good about exchanges, provided it doesn't smell, or have power grounded into it. just give them a call, and they would probably work with you.

if you are having trouble getting a weight to touch, try lifting your head up off the bench as you are lowering the weight to your chest.

If you have trouble getting a big arch, you should try an Metal viking X-type. It is quite similar to a Titan Fury, but there is a few differences. 1. The Fury has a smaller chest part. 2. The angle of the sleeves is different. 3. Much roomier sleeves. 4. The X-type suits athletes with wider shoulders..

Titan F6 has way bigger arm openings than the Rage X for the same size chest measurement. You can find good deals off of eBay, just type in powerlifting in the search box.

I would go with a Titan, a guy around here by the name of oneal knows all about them as well as a distributor...

I'm currently using one that is supposed to be really tight... it's really tight and hurts a lot but no where near what those inzers have hurt in the past... I think its a 46 and I'm about 215 - 218 right now. Another partner got a 48 and he's a big 230 and we've already stretched it out... I think mine is a fury and his is an F6 and he ain't gettin shit out of it and I just started getting something out of my borrowed Fury...

I have / had a Metal Single Ply X - Type... they will not eat you up at all but you have to really tuck your elbows and it doesn't sound like tuck or arch are your strong points right now... You feel like you can bench a ton, it's hard to touch in them and mine didn't last for shit...

I've blew out an EPHD and my Metal... still waiting to see if they'll swap or give me a deal of some sort... For $200 I expected a lot more out of it

Also if your hearing crackling and all that, the shirts gonna blow, every time I touched in my Metal it did that and I ripped one shoulder completely out and one partially...

THanks, bro. At this point, I have put up 530 in the Metal Viking. I gained a couple of pounds and have tendonitus so I'm having trouble using the Viking so I bought a Titan Fury. Hopefully it fits. I should get it here in a day or so...
