Just a side note: My thighs were also my problem area.. What really helped me was walking.

I ran, I taught aerobics and weight lifted. But when I started walking and weight training I noticed my thighs getting smaller.

Best to you and good to see more women on the board.

Thank you for the welcome, your right, I tend to have terribly high self standards (but its helped me accomplish many things I could not have done if I had not pushed myself as hard).... Thank you as well for sharing your own experience. Its inspiring to know that thighs CAN change as they seem to refuse to change at all and actually have gotten bigger over the last few weeks (even though my bf has dropped 4% in that time :confused: ) Do you have before and after pics of your thighs that you might be willing to share with me? I actually have some pics in a private folder at yahoo called grosser then gross and my back side and thighs go there.... If you thought you could recomend anything, or reasure me that mine aren't beyond help (they are bad. really bad) I'll invite you to the folder... My thighs are really disapointing me. As the rest of my gets smaller they just seem to look more rediculous. Like I'm wearing doghnuts under my skin right at the top of my thigh or something!! Hey.... thats not too far from the truth, I bet there are a few doughnuts in there along with a whole bunch of other naughties!!! :xeye:

I've been working out for years.

1 very important thing to remember is;
it's not only exercise.. It's your diet.. check the diet board.. Mr. X had wonderful
information there. And he's very helpful..:)

Yes your thighs will get larger first when your lifting, cause your gaining muscle.
But at the same time with proper nutrition and a training program you will be burn fat.

Like Raina says: The Women's Board is great! Check it out!
