That is a generalized question. Need to know what you eat how often. Calorie intake level. Do you lift for strength and size do you lift for definition and endurance? Stuff like that also do you know what your bmr is?

We need you to help us so we can help you :P list your daily diet and give us some more info

Its funny how people can easily flip through the various logs & solid diets that are already on this forum and for some reason need people to spoon-feed them suggested diets.

If you can't even take the time to post your diet your not going to get any help.. cause its just about eating lean proteins, limited complex carbs, and healthy vegetables...maybe throw in select fruit...but that is about it in terms of diet. Clearly you are looking to improve, so either figure it out or post your diet & we can help you fix your existing issues.

Give him a bit of a break. I am a complete beginner and there are so many opinions and snake oil salesmen out there that it's hard to know what to do or who to trust. I looked online and in this forum for over a week and finally found a simple diet that made sense to me. I can understand why one would want to be "spoon fed" this stuff. It is frustrating and time consuming trying to figure all this stuff out.

Obviously the guy needs to give more info, and I KNOW that has to be incredibly frustrating on your end as well. I can understand the frustration, you try to help but aren't given everything you need to do that.

As for diet, Milos Sarkev's plan has been working great for me I've been on his diet about a month...so take my recommendation for what it's worth.
I can't post links yet, but if you go to dailymotion dot com you can do a search for "Milos Sarkev's Siminar."

In order to see a reduction in your love handles or anywhere else, you need to lower bodyfat. Lowering bodyfat means putting yourself into a caloric defecit to achieve fat loss.

The best way to go this is to first find out your maintenance calories (there are a number of free maintenance calculators online to find this out), then you would need to put yourself into a defecit from that number. You can do that by eating less or increasing activity or ideally doing both.

Try eating 500 Cal's under maintenance each day with a diet consisting of high protein, low to moderate carbs, and low to moderate fats. Protein should come from good sources like lean meats, eggs, fish, cottage cheese, and Greek yogurt. Eat lots of green veggies and try to stay away from breads, pastas and sugars as carb sources. Choose good complex carbs like sweet potatoes, brown rice, and oatmeal. So please carbs should mostly come from clean sources like fruit. Take in plenty of good fats with high omega 3 & 6 content

Good luck
