New guy looking for some advise.

Hey everybody, just joined the forum and was hoping to get a little help. First a little about myself, im 27, about 6 ft, currently 201lbs. September of last year I joined the gym in an attempt to correct the lack of exercise since high school. All through high school I hit it pretty hard until I was about 19. Then I got married at 21, had my first kid at 22 and just got comfortable. Then September of last year looked at myself in the mirror and was disgusted. I uploaded three progress pics. 2 have the dates, the first was march at 214. This was down from 223.....heaviest ive ever been. I watched a bunch of youtube videos, and read all the info I could find on weightloss and lifting. Before I discovered if it fits your macros, I mainly just looked at the diets people posted in the inspiration section of bodybuilding.com and just made a hybrid diet of what I found. This worked great for losing weight except the weight I lost was muscle along with the fat. Needless to say I did that wrong. I was happy with the result but not exactly what I was going for. Then after summer I decided to try a bulk to add back some of the muscle that was lost. Which is in the third pic. I made pretty big gains in strength, and added a little size. Ive never done steroids so not sure where to begin. Ive done some research on trt and was contemplating getting some testosterone. I just started reading on anabolics but this is still ongoing. I plan on cutting some of this fat I put back on the right way this time. 1 to 2 lbs a week instead of 5 to 10 like last time. My question is this, should I wait until all the fat is cut before I get any gear or should I get it now. My ultimate goal is to get a little bigger than I am but I want to be shredded. Like I said just looking for some advise so any is appreciated. Thanks

you really don't need steroids for your goals.

if you want to really dedicate yourself to this game then you can think about steroids later on, but for now keep improving and build consistency in the gym. it starts in the kitchen and ends in the weight room.

^^^^^ This right here +1,000,000 !!!!!!

You have made some good progress. You have the beginnings of a good base. You can easily pack on some more muscle to your frame without taking forever to do it. That will be muscle you wont lose. If you did a cycle now you would gain that "easy muscle" you would have gained naturally then lose it all after cycle.
Make sure you are doing squats and deads. And doing them correctly. I see too many new guys doing them completely fucked.
