For 2 reps :) and I was 20 lbs more. One rep max is still 245 but I don't do 1 rep maxs well getting contest ready.
 
you don't have to do 1RM's but you should do some singles at just under your 1RM, it will help all your other pulls.

hit a single, walk away from it for 10-15 sec and go back hit another one.

I agree, I always finish my DL workout with at least three sets of singles with 600+ :coffee:
 
The week of PR's last night tossed up 40 lb db's for 10 reps 4 sets shoulder press. :D Before last night I could only get 35's up on shoulder press :D I had a bitch of a time heaving those suckers up for the first rep but after that easy. I am postive I could do 45's if I could just find a decent dam spot. I don't want to f' up my shoulder.

yeah, you really gotta kick those f*ckers up with your leg.

thats really why I dont do flat db press - just too awkward to get up and down - incline is much easier.

no one there to spot you?

I used to workout with Tweakle when he was in Toronto he gives a great spot but I trust very few people espeicaly when it comes to my shoulder I have f'd it up before. I have a "friend" (friend with benifits) that trains at my new gym but we don't train together just see him there sometimes.

yeah, I wouldnt get a friend with benefits involved in that.

There's a upright bench out there that is made for db shoulder press - it will hold the dumbbells up near your head so you can take them off.

It is honestly hard to say. I changed gym's and the scale at the new gym says something that is off to what the scale at the old gym says and my home scale says another thing so I don’t honestly know.

I use it for squats on occasion and incline bench presses, shoulder presses, shrugs...whatever

I use smith sometimes to mostly do to no spot so I don't FUBAR myself. I think using it now and then is as a supplment or will injured etc is fine.

P.S. How is my Boo doing? :qt: :busy: :horny: :qt:
