Looking at the MR2 and RX-8.

I like the Rx-8, a lot. The MR2 is a close second.


I'll prolly drop anywhere from 25-35k. Not a lot. But enough to ask the good folks at EF (who mostly drive 90 thousand dollar cars) their advice.

The GF really likes the MR2, and so I've given it a fair shake and it's a close second. But still second.

And it sucked ASS. Any car with an engine knock light is not gonna make it in my garage ever again.

The thing that bothers me the most about the MR2 is the ads brag about the engine placement, and even show pictures of it - bragging about how the engine is inside of both axles - and then it is clearly not.

If you're willing to drop that kinda cash, I would recommend looking at the Lexus IS or Infiniti GS.

Both nice, sporty, and chick magnets.

RX8 cause its look nice. But honestly, I know a guy who owns one and he says the car is fine till 100 km/h, then it sucks. Lacks some torque so between 100 and 140, forget about it, it's average.
