Thanks for looking in.

After 9 months or so of doing 5 X 5 i have decided to take a rest from it and do a 3 day split. For the last few weeks i have been experimenting with diffrent variations but still would like some info of you guys. At the minute i am cutting and plan on doing so until i get a pretty low BF% so pretty much all summer.

Currently it looks like this:

3 sets 12 10 8

Monday: Chest/Tris

Flat Bench 12 10 8
Incline Press 12 10 8
Decline Press 12 10 8
Flyes: 12 10 8

Tri Extensions bar 10 10 10
Dips 10 10 10
Tri Extensions Rope 10 10 10

Tuesday:

Cardio

Wed: Legs/shoulders

Squat 12 10 8
Leg Extensions 12 10 8
Leg Curls 12 10 8
Calve Raises 12 10 8

Barbell Shrugs 10 10 10
Upright Rows 10 10 10
Side Dumbbell Raises 10 10 10
Shoulder Press 10 10 10

Thurs:

Cardio

Fri: Back/Bis

Deads 5 5 5 5
Lat Pull Downs Wide Grip 12 10 8
Lat Pull Downs Rev Grip 12 10 8
Dumbbell Row 12 10 8

Preacher Curls 10 10 10
Incline Dumbbell Curl 10 10 10
Concentraition Curl 10 10 10

Thats about it, i train abs 2-3 days a week also.

Like i said this is my first attempt at a 3 day split so any adivce would be great.

Well, I personally think you'd be better off doing lower reps on a cut to help maximize muscle retention, but to each their own. You have the main lifts in there, so just make sure you focus on the deads, rows, bench, and squats mostly..

Thanks bro, i just felt i needed a change from the 5 x 5 i was going no further with certain lifts i tried deloading but still got no further, plus i needed a switch after 9 monts it was getting abit tedious. The main reason for the post was to see if there was any ideas on doing diffrent lifts. After looking over it again i think i might swap DB rows for Pendlay rows.

Thanks again
