Isn't that product used for people with DPN from diabetes? They also use it to treat people who experience partial seizures. I was supposed to take it when I had shingles but I never got the prescription filled. I hate taking medicine unless it's a shot.

DPN is diabetic peripheral neuropathy. A lot of diabetics experience this condition. They have trouble sleeping and their moods change constantly. They also experience pain in their lower extremities such as the feet and ankles. My brother is being diagnosed for this since he is a diabetic and he had a gun accident that nearly blew his ankle and foot off. He has been having this type of pain for several years. That's the only way I know of this drug.
From what I have read, they use this drug to treat people with seizures, also.
I think if I was you, I would look into before taking anything that hasn't been prescribe to you.

It is a mood stabilizer prescribed to manic or depressed individuals. Typically these individuals have been battling either condition for some time. My advice...take it or leave it....is to stay away unless a psychologist has prescribed it specifically for your condition. The sides suck!
