i just saw the ab etching thingo you did for t mag, and i was wondering how its all going, if it still looks good, if you would reccommend it to people and all that.

im one of those people that can get quite lean and still not have great abs- i mean, they look good, but not as good as id like. right now im actually a fat turd in my own eyes, but hey, injuries do that

does the area look completely natural? or does it look a bit bumpy/uneven or anything like that? how about when you bulk a bit, or hold a lot of water, does taht make a difference?

cheers for the replies, and feel free to post up some shots or something that you have since taken (all within what you find reasonable of course, its your body :) )

im really quite curious about this whole thing :)

I've been through this a million times but okay, a million and one.

This was done as an assignment. I never really needed it but I figured, what the fuck, it's free.

For someone who is overweight, I would not recommend it. It will leave you lumpy with loose skin.

The area where the rectus abs were done hurt -- a lot.

And most importaNt and most overlooked...

AB DEFINITION IS AS MUCH A MATTER OF ANATOMY AS IT IS BODYFAT PERCENTAGE. I THE ABS ARE SET BACK, IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW LOW YOUR BF% IS, THEY WONT SHOW AS WELL AS SOMEONE WHO'S ABS ARE MORE FORWARD. AND SURGERY WON'T MAKE MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE. To a degree, that was the case with me.

Okay, the positives...

Having the obliques done didn't hurt much, didn't scar, doesn't require general anesthesia and it removed fat that otherwise would have been impossible to lose. It's hardly noticable on me, but I realize as I get older it would have been tougher to prevent the obliques from filling out a little and they're always under control, so in that regard, it's kinda cool and I have no regrets.

So to sum up -- I'd say, if that's worth it to you -- go for the sides, if you can afford it, but pass on the front. Doing my special non sit up ab exercise will yield better results.

cheers for that..

ill look into it in a couple of years, maybe...

i took a look at some of the guys that had been done and featured on your surgeons site, and one of them looked pretty horrible, imo, so id have to think about it long and hard

whats taht sort of thing cost, anyway? those sites never include price..
