I have found that dextrose is cheap and works very well for me post workout. Malto also works the same, I cannot tell the difference. You stated in your post that you will not notice the difference in whether you go with dextrose or fructose in your PW shake. Sure, you might not notice, but when you break it down, the GI in the carbs, would I rather go with dextrose than fructose? yes. You might not physically notice the difference, but you might not notice the difference if you take vitamens or dont take vitamens, i personally choose to take them.
If dextrose is a joke, what exactly would you consider a good post workout drink? You have graced us all with what you consider a joke, now please grace us with something we can compare it to.
When someone disagrees with something, this usually means that they have a different view on the subject. So lets hear it.
Also, you mentioned giving in to the salesman's fake scientific knowledge, as far as i know, I have yet to see a post workout supplement consisting of nothing but dextrose. From what I have seen, all of the supplements sold with the pitch "Post Workout" contain more than one form of sugar, most have fructose in them.
