Nef!!!

Iams is owned by Proctor & Gamble. I'm pretty sure P&G does quite a bit of animal vivisection. Not sure why animal lover's support this brand.

Ughhh. Oh man, seriously?

Nevermind, I'm sticking to my dog food.

Yep, if you google something like "Iams vivisection" you'll see 100 of pages of reports, videos, photo's. Stupid studies like "will a 3 legged dog eat any different that a 4 legged dog".

Just a word of warning, don't look at the picture or vids if you can't handle it. They are pretty graphic.

Hey Nan. I have a cat that was itching and pulling her hair out due to food allergies. I had her on the IAMS at first, but she gained 1 lb in a month. It's also high in calories. My vet told me to get her off of it. Boy am I glad I did. I found Buffalo Blue Basics The Blue Buffalo Company - BLUE Basics, a limited ingredient diet. at a pet store chain.

She's only been on it for a month now and what an incredible difference. Her hair is almost grown back and she isn't itching or biting at herself anymore. I can pet her now without her freaking out. It's a little more expensive than the IAMS, but well worth it when you see the difference in their coat.

fancy feast doesn't use vivisection....that's what i feed my cat.

bish goes crazy now if i feed her anything else than the special sub brand of fancy feast

nan,

I'll pass the info along! Thanks!

I ended up using some stuff called bentadene or something on her hot spot and no joke, two days later it was better. The hair has now fully grown back. That said, she's still an itch monster, she's just not rubbing herself bloddy now. I'll grab some and see if it makes a difference in her overall skin condition.

Glad to hear that dog is doing better, thanks for the update.
I tried Blue Buffalo on my dog, but he wouldn't touch it for some reason, he didn't like it.
He's doing great on the President's Choice Large Breed dog food, no corn or fillers and the ingredients look fine to me. It comes in a large kibble size to slow down eating too.
