Q:
Is Breakfast the most important meal of your day?

A:
Absolutely!

There are many studies that prove this is true. By now everyone
knows just how important breakfast is. Breakfast breaks the
overnight fasting period and is crucial for replenishing your
supply of glucose, thus preventing you from going into a catabolic
state of muscle wasting. It jumps starts your metabolism and flicks
the "ON" switch for your body's daily Anabolic process.
Q:
If breakfast does all of this, then why are so many of us skipping
this important meal?

The most common answer is often Lack of time.
Its no doubt in this day and age we find our self with less and
less time. Kids, school, work, cleaning, friends, family, working
out, and the list goes on and on. With everything we have to
accomplish from sun up till sun down, Breakfast gets lost in the
shuffle.

Fructose, really?

YA I was waiting for someone to bring that up so I would have a chance to explain it. Because of the huge Fructose Corn Syrup or High Fructose Corn Syrup scare (and no doubt you should be scared of it) it has led to the knee jerk reaction when anyone sees the words " Fructose" on the ingredients list of a food product. Since I happen to be a chef of 13+ years and know a little bit about food products and supplements I will take this time to enlighten everyone.

First lets get the simple part out in the open right up front. So the people who get bored with ready do not miss the most importent point. When you see "fructose" not fructose corn serum or high fructose anything. When you see just fructose on a label just remember to think this!!!!!!!!!!!

fructose= natural fruit sugar

Also keep in mind where a Ingredient falls on the list of ingredients list. The ones listed first are the most and the ones listed last are the least. You will notice that on this product Fructose is 3rd from the last.

Anyway moving on.

Yes, there is a difference between fructose and High Fructose Corn Syrup. Fructose is fruit sugar, a simple sugar that makes up one-half of the moleclue of sucrose or table sugar. (The other half is glucose, usually called grape or blood sugar.) Fructose tastes sweeter than sucrose but has fewer calories because the body does not metabolize it well.

In other words fructose is sweater so less is needed, it also has less calories then reg sucrose and causes less of a blood sugar spike. Fructose doesn't stimulate insulin secretion. It doesn't increase leptin production or suppress production of ghrelin (unlike glucose)

Now A even funner fact that almost no one would know unles they had been studying label facts and food products for a wile.

If fructose= (natural fruit sugar) then dosn't this beg the questions from what fruit? Well I am sure know ones ever thought of it since many people just see fructose and take of running for the hills. Still the people left who know that fructose= natural fruit sugar Not many people ever ask from what? MAybe they just figure its extracted from any old fruit and it does not matter. Well yes and no.

Yes fructose can in fact be ANY NATURAL FRUIT SUGAR. Now the funny part is why would they not just list it as (strawberry sugar extract) or (pineapple fruit extract) Or in the case of my product "stevia"

Well simple put Its e-legal to do so!!! ya ain't that fucking crazy its e-legal to put where exactly a sweating agent was extracted from on the label of a food product. However this is not a food product its a "powdered supplement" so I can get away with telling you tat yes The fructose in this product is "stevia"

Now why is it e-legal to write Stevia on the label facts of a food product? I really have now clue and no solid prof but I suspect its because the "sugar" manufactors do not want it. When you list something simple as fructose, glucose, sucrose it just looks like another form of sugar or a portion there of. But when you list it as "Stevia" it starts to become a whole different game and the big sugar, and corn syrup companies don't want to play ball. A simple internet search on Stevia will ilighten you as to exactly why too.

In any even I have found out one fact that can be proven.

On September 18th, 1995 the FDA did finally lift its four-year import ban of stevia, approving its use as a dietary supplement or as a dietary ingredient of a supplement, but not as a food additive or ingredient.
The ruling now allows the sale of stevia as long as the bottle or package clearly labels it as a dietary supplement. What you'll probably begin to see are companies marketing stevia packaged on its own as well as protein powders, powdered supplements, and chewable supplements that contain Stevia. The key is that companies, including retailers, can not refer to stevia as a sweetener

So with that being said my product manufacturer has placed "fructose" on the label in place of "stevia" and I am sure it has to do with

1. they might be thinking the product should be labeled like it was a food product.

2. They are also thinking that even if they label it like it was a supplement the fact that "no other sweetener" is used in the product placing "stevia" would make it the sole sweetener in the product and thus making it almost exactly like outright listing it as a sweetener.

So there you have it. stevia=Fructose and Fructose=natural fruit sugar or natural plant sugars.

I hope that makes some since to some one.
