Needs some ideas...

Ok I'm in Afghanistan and have a bench, about 500lbs of weights, and dumbells from 30-45lbs

In our tent we have a wooden floor which makes some excersises a bit difficult

some workout ideas everyone? any ideas??

i had my best WO's in my basement with the equipment you just mentioned....stick to the compound movements....you wont even need the DB's (if you have a Barbell)....maybe for some bicep work

I think that TX. is looking for different ideas because the wood floor doesn't offer too much support for lifting a lot of weight.

Have you and your buddies looked into "finding" some cement to make a lifting area? Just don't get caught. ;)

Perhabs ya'll could improvise and make your own version of some strongman equipment?

Good luck, hopefully some of the other guys here will have some ideas. :)

Bench press
OHP
Power cleans
Deadlifts
Partial oly lifts (High pulls, hang snatches/cleans)
Curls
French presses/Skull crushers

There are lots more, but these are just a few basic moves that you can do with what you have available to you.

yes I should have metioned we have a barbell

right now my weight is down to about 190lbs :( I can't really concentrate on gaining weight till my neck gets thicker. THe army is a pain the ass about weight and tape measurements, and getting my neck thicker is the only way I can put on more weight. I'm really trying to get my strength back up and still rehabing my back a bit from a bad parachute accident 9months ago.

The wooden floor will probably not last too much longer, doing squats with 300lbs was enough to start bending the boards pretty good.

We have a gym with a concrete floor which I will go back to using but they are renovating it and adding brick wall around it. Kinda sucks cause we can't keep lights working in their most times and late at night is the only time I have to workout just before I hit the sack
