Needles on Planes

What's the drill on taking needles on commercial flights. Certainly not in the hand luggage but do the Feds x-ray the checked bags? Thanks.

Should not be a problem as long as you have a script.

dunno about the US but here in Canada there's no problem with flying with EMPTY AND SEALED needles.

I have krown people that have flown after 9-11 with needles and vials, checked in bags under the plane, and I were never asked for their script.
