Needles are getting stuck.

Lately, everytime I inject the needle doesn't want to come out. I pull on it and it stretches the skin but doesn't break loose. I have to twist it and tug on it to get it out. What's going on here? Is this normal? Because I've never had this problem before.

are you injecting into the same area repeatedly? might be a longshot, but maybe its getting stuck in scar tissue?

even the scar tissue should not resist the needle from comming out? scar tissue will make it harder to penetrate? but not to wothdrawl i woudlt hink. but how hard is it realy toi grip it and pull? i would think it shouldnt be too hard, kinda weird to me.

make sure you're not flexing the muscle into which you're injecting AT ALL.

Many don't even realize they're flexing the muscle, when in fact it's almost at full contraction... you've got to really make a conscious effort to relax the muscle.

Dr M i know all about flexing muscle. First time I did a quad shot I did it standing up.... why? I don't know lol. But I was crippled for a few days.

I have seen this before but it has never happend to me. It looked crazy he got it in fine and injected fine went to pull it out and could not get it out I had to come in there and hold his skin and then he pulled it out!!

that happens a lot to me when i bury the needle. if you look closely at the needle where it attaches to the plastic that attaches to the syringe there is a little whiteish plastic piece that holds the needle to the plastic. (not a very good description i know)... but when i inject i push the needle all the way in and then keep pushing until it doesnt' go in any further (the white plasticy thing is just under the skin) after you inject and pull out the white plasticy thing seems to stick in the skin and sometimes is a bit painful when pulling it out... once i get that out the needle slides out without problem.

either suck it up or don't bury the pin

I do my quad (vasitus lateralis) shots standing up. I just lean on my desk, and COMPLETELY unflex the muscle I'm injecting into. I've heard it's better this way than sitting down, because whee you're sitting, there is still weight on the muscle, and can cause problems. I haven't had any problems while doing it standing. Just don't put ANY weight on the target leg--just rest your toe against the ground, and lean to the other side.

interesting point... i have always done mine sitting down with my knee bent and leg relaxed. i tried it once with sitting with my leg laying straight out in front of me on the bed and that seemed a little weird but the muscle was more relaxed that way... i'll have to give this standing thing a try

Burying the pin isn't exactly recommended. You should try to leave about a quarter of an inch of the pin base exposed. Burying it to the hilt can be a major problem if you have a muscle spasm and break off the pin inside your muscle. If you leave a little bit out.. there is still some room to grab the needle and pull it out. Just a suggestion.

i've heard that before but i'd like to hear from someone who's actually had that happen... those pins are pretty tough. i've actually tried to break one before usring my thumb and the countertop. it wont' break... i can bend it all to hell but it doesn't break... i dont' see how a muscle spasm can magically break the needle off, but if someone HAS had it happen i'd love to hear about it.

What happens when you inj. into a flexed muscle?

Like I said when I PM'd you back, nothing really... it can cause more micro/macrotearing at a large enough injection volume (say, 3-5cc's), but it's not dangerous unless you're deathly afraid of scar tissue.

I just find it far less painful to inject into a relaxed muscle...

Maybe you can lubricate the needle by pushing on the plunger and letting some of the juice spill out?

Ok dammit......I finally decide to give up the prohomones and go with AS. Now on top of all the other shit to worry about, sources, gyno, diet, post cycle therapy, etc. I have to worry about a fckin NEEDLE dangling out of my ass that won't come out.......THANKS FOR THE INFO...... :mix:

I honestly havn't ever tried to bend or break any needles before. They do seem to have some give to them.. at least the ones I use. I will say that I've never had a needle get stuck inside me.. but just as a precaution I still leave a little bit of room at the base. Why not? Better safe than sorry. That's all.

I have had the pin get stuck before as well. But it seems to only happen if I really try to push the last drop out of the needle. I just figured it was creating a little vacuum. So if the needle gets stuck now, I just push down hard on the plunger, maintain the pressure and then the needle always slides right out.

also just another long shot try lubng the needle wit the oil first then inject.......push some out and let it run down the needle
