how many people actually switch the needle after they've withdrawn it from the vial....and how many just inject it straight from there with the "dull" needle?

I do. I draw out with a 20g and inject with a 25g.

Ain't no way that 20g is going near my ass.

YOU SHOULD SEE HOW AN 18G LOOKS LIKE IN YOUR ASS,,,WHEN YOU REMOVE THE 18G, YOU ARE ACTUALLY LEFT WITH ANOTHER HOLE.

Yea using 18's or not fun for 8 weeks 2 a week my ass looked like swiss cheese, and I actually tried to put one in my shoulder. That was just damn absurd.

ive got a separate one that i use to draw out every thime, then i switch to a sharp one so i wont waist two pins every time.

When you all are injecting does the needle hang to the skin and make funny noises and catching while injecting it, that kinda wigs me out.

Damn........

Ya'll actually use 18g to inject, f**k that! I used the sus. redijects a few times, but that was more than enough for me, 20g if I'm not mistaken!

Needle exchange programs

I really recommend looking into a clean needle exchange program, if your community has one. The one here in Southern California has a van that comes to my neighborhood once a week. They have assorted darts and points and even take requests. (I asked them to bring a box or two of 23Gs.)

Last time I went, I picked up 30 23Gs plus a box of 21s for drawing -- all for a five dollar donation. Can't beat the price! AND you're supporting a good cause.

(They also give you a little card to show if a cop finds the darts on you, explaining you got them legally from the program.):fro:

Usually I withdraw with a 18g BD "draw" needle and then switch to a 21 or 22 g monoject 1.5 inch for the actual injection.

You can not maintain a sterile field if you do not switch needles.:)

LOL BROS, I ONLY USE THE 18G IN DESPERATE SITUATIONS(RUNNING OUT OF NEEDLES ETC.), MOST OF THE TIMES I STICK A 22G.
