Other safe, neutral gifts that seem slightly more thoughtful (as in, you went and picked them out yourself) are books, CDs, DVDs or a gift certificate to her favorite hair place or a place near her where she can get spa/massage services.

Clothing, perfume or jewelry can send the wrong message (jewelry is the one thing that you can get away with IF you know her really well and she's really into jewelry but otherwise steer clear).

scenario: we never really broke up, she just moved away but we still talk over the phone once a week or so and bang whenever we meet up.

I wanted to send something nice to her for her birthday, but nothing that says "i still want you" or overdramatic (i'm guessing under $100 range)

wondering some idea's from the ladies of good gift ideas you could think of that would like, or guys that ever sent another woman a gift that she liked.
