heres my story;

trained natural gained lean 14lbs of mass in 5 months got tendonitis in my elbow, took 4 months to heal lost all 14lbs. Started training all natural again gained 14lbs of lean mass in 6 months got tendonitis in my shoulder, took 5 months to heal lost all 14lbs again. Thaught fuck it lets get on the gear started on a cycle of 2ml sust gained 21lb in 2 months got tendonitis in my wrist, took 4 months to heal and lost all 21lb. Started another cycle when healed of 2ml sust and 2ml deca gained 24lb in 2 months and right at the end of the cycle got the flu, had to be hospitalised because of a virus so couldnt eat and lost 14lb in 1 week.

Im talking now 1 week after coming out of hostpital and thinking about starting back training in a few days. I have been into bodybuilding for over 2 years and havnt got anywhere. Im starting to get pissed off.

Give me some inspiration to get back in that fucking gym.

Your training hasn't been for nothing. You propably have good muscle memory and will get it back. But you MUST learn to train around injuries. Hurt your shoulde? Work your legs. Hurt your knee? Work your abs. You can do it, if you want it.

Bro I don't think you need to stop lifting all together when you get tendonitis, just do some different exercises and baby it. Go light for a while and ice it at least once a day.

Sometimes you have to power through it bro. I mean dont hurt yourslef worse but you can switch up excercises that will ease the area that is hurt. Theres now way i could let myself waste away hard earned weight and not do anything about it. I cant believe you had to take that much time off to heal an inflamed tendon. Shit some guys break arms and get back faster than that.

Why do you take 4-5 months off to heal every time you get tendonitis? Maybe I have a screw loose in how I train... but I don't stop training because of minor sprains and minor injuries. I pretty much don't stop for major injuries either... I work around them.

I had major pain in my left delt all of November and December. It made doing pullups and shoulders agony. I still did pullups... still did my whole back routine... still hit shoulders. I was very careful and controled in my movements... but that is how you should lift anyway.

Come January I set PRs on all of my lifts... and my injury was healed.

I have NEVER understoof the logic of stopping working out because you have an injury. If you are in a car weck... the first thing rehab does is get you on your feet... and then get you working through the agonizing pain while you restore your body. They don't tell you to sit on your ass and do nothing till you feel like it.

Pain hurts, but it doesn't own you.
