need "other" types of cardio

I have an injured ankle and can't work legs or do conventional cardio at the moment but I have been working the upper body. Anyways, I'm feeling a little on the plumper side because of the lack of cardio. Is there any form of cardio I can do that does not involve/require the legs?

Thanks in advance

You could beat a punching bag around, good for cardio and strength. Mirror boxing is another alternative. How bad is your ankle?
I have an air cast on my leg, and i'm not supposed to put any pressure on it. I'm supposed to also use crutches, but I only used those a day or two and hated them so I have been hobbling around without them. I've been like this a little over 2 weeks now, I was hoping to be good and ready by now but the doc wants to wear the cast another month :eek2: I've already lowered my cals to maintenance since I'm not burning too many off right now but I cant go that long wihtout doing some sort of cardio.

Unfortunately, no punching bag available, I also don't think that I can stand for 30 mins+, too much pressure on the ankle.

Thanks for the suggestion though

I wonder if my gym has a rowing machine, that might work OK

Previous to the injury, I was doing cardio 5 days a week, every morning so I just feel sluggish not doing it.

can you do the sit-down bike without putting too much pressure on the ankle?
I don't hink so, theankle bends too much wne you pedal, i was thinking of trying it though.

As funny as that sounds, I have seriously thought about that too

So far, I think rowing machine would be the best option, I hope my gym has one. I'll find out tomorrow (or tonight if I get out of class early).

We have a cardio board where you can ask these questions, too.
Thanks bro, I thought about it but thought you guys might be partial to just running. I'll post it there too.
