Need Help

Me 47 and have been super tired, gaining weight and can't really sleep at night.

So I went to longevity doctor and he ran a bunch of tests on me. Free Testosterone, preqnenolone level (serum) and DHEA and the results came back not looking that great.

Testosterone, serum - 212
Free Test - 10.8
DHEA - 250

and my body fat has gone from 22% to 26.1 in the last year.

He's got me on topical Testosterone gel 10% 1ml daily. HCG 500 iu 3 times per week
DHEA 25 milligrams 2 times per day (his clinics own label)
Vitamin D 5000iu daily
Omega 3 1 gram daily
Multivitamin
Melatonin 1gm before bed.
Vitamin C 500 mg daily
Vitamin # 400 iu daily
Milk thistle one cap daily
Flaxseed oil one capsule daily

I've been on this program for about 2 months and I do feel better, but the cost is killing me. The supplements come from his own clinic and run me right around $300/month. This doesn't include the labs which last time were around $500 and not covered by insurance.

I'm getting up there in age and would like to finally be able to get in shape and not be embarrassed to go to the pool.

I work out 4 times a week (lifting) and cardio on the other days. My cardio is really good for someone my age, but not gaining any muscle and the fat loss has been super slow.

I've always been a hard gainer, just wondering if I have had low test all along and not known about it.

Not sure, what I should do.
-Self medicate
-give up the supplements and focus on the T-Gel
- Save up the T-Gel and double my dosage for a shorter time period

any suggestions?

Hi anon

Where are you located?
HRT clinics are all very expensive but by your lab results you are a candidate for treatment. Your total T is pretty low and your Free T is lowish normal using a standard range. Your total T ideally aought to be over 500 and your Free T at or over 13.

If you're in the US you could investigate if your medical insurance might cover the costs of the gels and ancillaries. Not sure if they'd pay for the dietary supplements though, however, the cost of them are pretty negligable anyway and you can easily pick them up from any herbal/sports store.
If you are in the UK then taking the result of the test to your GP might get him to take over the treatment of the condition. Unless you are trying to father kids - or will be in the future - you're unlikely to get the cost or treatment of HCG covered under NHS provision.

Have you had a recent blood drawn to see if if your levels are back in range?

Regard,
Craig

inject test. much better than the gel and faster acting. second is, there are outside labs that will take your blood ect and send u results that are MUCH cheaper than that... supps, but them on amazon. hes beating you in the head for em.

Thanks. I kinda figured that he's making a huge profit on the supplements. For the T-Gel it comes from a compounding Pharmacy and Its about $25 per month.

About 10 years ago I did a cycle Winny, Deca, Proviron and the results were pretty good. I didn't gain alot of mass but was pretty cut.

Do you think if I took test (only) and some of supplements (I'm not sure how much they are adding over the T-Gel anyway) I could get results like my previous cycle?

Do you know how much labs would cost?

well, at 47, the party is over as far as recovering your testosterone. so a pct type of deal to try and recover your levels would be out. the tgel, they tried to get me on that... its shit imo. id rather blast and cruise... so to answer your question could you get results like before... FUCK YEA! probably better cause your not going to fully come off. if i was you thats what id be doing. for labs, check this out... we were talking about this in a diff thread the other day. Not sure what you mean by PCT type. So do you mean do a regular cycle and instead of PCT doing a smaller cycle? What would I search to find information about this?

When you run a cycle, pct follows after the cycle is complete called post cycle therapy.
If you never ran pct, could be y your test is messed up now.
That all aside, if your injecting testosterone and never comming off you don't need pct, you will need ancillaries to keep estrogen build up down and sides down.
