need help with diet please (after car accident)

About a month and a half ago, I was involved in a car accident that resulted in leg injuries. As a result, I've been unable to go to the gym, and the doctor said to wait about another 3 and a half to 4 weeks before returning to the gym. I am currrently looking to lose about 15 lbs, but I'm unsure as to what my caloric intake should be, seeing that I won't be doing very much exercise for the next few weeks. In addition, my metabolism is kind of sluggish, to me at least. I'm 5'5", 140lbs, female. Any diet advice and advice about caloric intake would be much appreciated. Thank you
 
if i were you, i wouldnt worry about losing weight right now, and focus on recovery. 3 to 4 weeks isn't that long, wait until then.
 
maybe you could ease into it, i dont know the extent of your injuries but i had a bad hand injury and the dr's always told me let pain be a guide (if i had pain to stop) maybe you could walk 10,15mins every day, or 3x a week just to ease into things slowly. as for diet stick to good foods, eat cleanly, then in a few weeks get a little more serious about diet.
