Need help wiring 3 subs to 0.5 OHM.

ive got 3 - 12" dual 4 ohm voice coils subs. i want to wire them down the least amount of OHMS possible. i havent done a install like this in years, and im tryin to remeber how to do it.

if the subs are dual 4 OHM, cant each subs voice coils be wired together in order to get each sub to 2 OHMS, then wire the 3 - 2 OHM subs in parelell to get down get way the hell down there.

the digram below shows the way a friend said to wire it. is this correct. im looking to get down to like 0.5 ohm if possible.

ive got one of them older red orion competion amps i ran back in the day like 3 years ago. i ran 8 fosgate subs off it for like 6 months, so the amp is still strong as hell.

the subs are some weird ass steel coned german shit, that i got cheap, and are just temp till i blow them and get somthin decent in there. there brand new and handle 1000 watts, so theyll last a couple months maybe.

I dont know if your gonna get to .5 ohms but wire each sub as 2 ohm since they are dual 4 ohm. I think you can get it to .5 ohm because of the third sub. Anyway heres a rough diagram:

=1.25 ohm or 1.5 ohm methinks.

BTW what type of sube do you have? and what amp are you running? As of now I just have my AW1805 and PH-D2, use to have 8x L-7's but they were a bitch and killed all my mids and high's!!...
